Rays Even ALCS vs Guardians, CFB Week 7 Preview & SEC Bias Debate | Wake Up Barstool Full Episode

The Rays beat the Guardians 3-1.

They even up the series 1-1.

And the story-

That should be their normal uniform.

That should be their uniform they wear every single game

... it's a great uni.

The story to me, even though there's a few different angles, a few different things to talk about, it's, [laughs] it's the Rays doing the Rays meme with Fastball Freddy.

Freddy Peralta fully back, incredible start last night.

Six inning pitch, no runs, six Ks, two walks.

In 22 starts with the Mets, he had a 537 ERA, Evo.

Mm-hmm.

In nine starts [laughs] with the Rays, it's a 226.

Yeah, I think you dig into the underlying stats, like the FIP and the xERA, it's maybe not as big of a gap as, uh, his actual production on the field.

Maybe the Rays have, uh, tweaked some things here and there for Freddy Peralta, but he's been much better since becoming a Tampa Bay Ray.

They did make, though, some, some pretty big mechanical changes, right?

Yeah, I mean-

He's just throwing from the stretch.

Listen, when you, when you go to Tampa, you go their pitching lab.

They have their robots and their mad scientists pour concoctions down your throats, and they crank your arm way back with those medieval machines, and they turn you into a god.

That's just how it works in Tampa, and they did it again with Freddy Peralta.

I, I guess-

Yeah, but this is, th- th- this is classic Mets, right? Like, he was very good with the Brewers.

He is very good with the Rays.

There's a s- little stop in New York where he was not very good.

They, they continue to pour money into places and just not get anything out of it.
