So let's attack college football here first.

So Baylor fires their coach.

Listen, I love being on this show with you, Colin, way too much.

And calling the games with the crew that I get to call the games with.

We had that BYU classic.

I mean, what was going on in that game? It was a wild one, but it's a core memory.

I don't know that it matters.

And we saw this against BYU and to a lesser extent, Utah.

These teams don't respect Iowa State's offense.

BYU went for it on fourth down three times, didn't convert any of them, but never looked concerned about winning the football game.

And it takes Aiden Flora out of the game.

I mean, is it just what we said Friday? They're just going to sit up there, take Flora away, and see if a quarterback...

I still think it's a loss.

UCF...

Tim Prister spent some time watching football, I believe, as did many of our listeners.

A lot of injury updates and a whole lot of lingering angst from the press conference, including the introduction by head coach Marcus Freeman regarding the loss to BYU 10 days ago.

We will steer away first from BYU.

paying back the favor for anybody that wanted to see comeuppance and start with some injury updates.

Drew Mentock, DJ McKinney, as he wrote, is out for the game.

Cooper Flanagan remains out, or excuse me, remains questionable with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss BYU.

King Sibilia Mawasa was questionable for BYU with a thumb.

He is questionable again.

Yeah, yeah.

I mean, how about Kalani Satake? BYU's been good.

They're another level this year.

And now their quarterback is hurt, and so their season's going to go off the rails.

know, it's it's,

you know, it's on on believable that BYU is still ranked in the top.

I mean, unbelievable, like unbelievable.

I I'm not saying that South Carolina can beat every team on here, but, you know, I mean, I've seen Boise State play.

I mean, they're still 13th.

You know, you sort of look on down the list here.

I mean, BYU, I mean, my God,

dude.

I feel like this completely shifted weight in the Big 12.

Not only with Texas Tech losing this week, with BYU losing this week, and now with Houston losing this week, Utah looks like the team to beat in the Big 12.

Again, it is going to be... much different down the stretch, because I do want to see Utah against some of these top defenses in the Big 12, because I'm still not completely sold.

Their defense was great in this game against Connor Wegman, but again, their offense cannot get anything going in the first three quarters running the football, and you see Devin DePierre make some questionable decisions passing the football.

It's going to be very interesting to see how the Big 12 ends up shaping out.

This is why earlier in this podcast, we thought Texas has such a great chance of making the college football playoffs because we thought coming into this week, there was a legitimate chance that three, maybe four teams in the Big 12 would could make the college football playoffs if it shapes out the right way.

Now we see a BYU team after a major win where we talked about if they just don't drop a game they shouldn't have, they could make the college football playoffs very easily, different from last year with the major win they have in their schedule against Notre Dame where they're a 10-point underdog.

That whole notion completely evaporated because you see UCF beat them in double overtime.

Their bye week after going through a week where they were a part of the upset Saturday included watching seven more of the top 16 teams lose.

In college football on Saturday, number two, BYU, done.

Number seven, Ole Miss, lost.

Number eight, Texas Tech, lost.

This is it.

Upsets.

Why is BYU losing? to UCF because they played a game the week before.

It took a lot out of them.

That's how we all expected this season to go, that's for sure.

I don't know, were you able to view the end of that BYU-UCF game and the whole 10-second runoff fiasco?

You know, I was just saying, you know, can we just have one, you know, one week where we're not questioning Big 12 officiating, you know, at the end of the game? Seriously.

It was a wild, wild ending.

Like, that's the only other options.

You look at Big 12, BYU and Utah.

Say you put those in.

Okay, there's other options with Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Houston.
