Texas at Ohio State was better than this game.

It's a good point.

It was a marquee matchup between two of the teams in the AFC-

Ah, yes.

I'm looking at the Michigan versus Ohio State rivalry.

They call it simply The Game.

Played since 1897, and you are totally right to focus on the win or else culture here.

You are recognized nationally for your work.

That was John Cooper.

He was the head coach at Ohio State from 1988 to 2000.

And by any objective, rational metric, Cooper was a phenomenal success.

It was a pretty wild Sunday.

And yes, please remind me to touch on Texas, Ohio State later in the podcast.

Saturday night, that was craziness.

All right, quickly, Ohio State, Texas.

was an incredible game.

Down the line, when we start to play some teams, they're going to be really good, like I think that when we have to go into Blacksburg and win a tough game against a team that's starting to put it together, we're going to need to have a guy.

But on that same token, we saw that Ohio State struggled this Saturday with not having a guy other than Jeremiah Smith.

So there's a constant balance between that.

And another guy that we still haven't seen in a Virginia uniform yet is Rico Flores, who could be that type of guy.

Let me say, a good win, an impressive win.

Good on you, Texas, for taking care of business against Ohio State, who has won one of the last four big games that they have been in at home in Austin.

Win the best player on the field.

was your running back that Steve Sarkeesian ignored for three quarters.

Doesn't mean that I totally agree with it, but I do understand the idea that Indiana has played two inferior opponents through the first two weeks.

I also recognize a team like Ohio State, who lost this weekend to Texas, that they lost to Texas, who is now the number one team in the country, and they lost on the road.

But it's the way that they lost that has me worried about the Buckeyes.

Michigan, cool.

And so the question then, as we move to the next point, is can those teams overcome it? Sure, absolutely.

Can Oregon bounce back and go on to have a great season? Yeah, I think so.

Can Ohio State bounce back after blowing it to Texas and have a great season? Yeah, I think so.

I'm not ready to stick my neck out there for a team like Penn State.

Can't say the same for Oregon.

Can't say the same for, well, Ohio State did play Texas, right? Michigan bounced back.

So we're going to go through all of those games.

Yeah, they lose to Western Michigan.

Anybody not named the Big 10 loves to see the mighty fall because everybody knows that this is still the best conference in college football.

But two weeks in, Zach, there are cracks in this foundation.

There are cracks in that argument because, look, Ohio State, going on the road and losing to Texas in way they

On Saturday, when Ball State played Ohio State to start the season, it was a, if you look at it this way, it was a $500 million athletics budget going up a university spending about $35 million on their sports.

Not really fair.

Not really fair.

So the House settlement capped revenue sharing at $20.5 million per school for all sports in the first year, but...

The caveat there is that outside name, image, and likeness money remains uncapped.

So that's how a university like Ohio State can spend almost $500 million on their total budget when the internal revenue is 20.5. Now, Nikki, one of the things that we've seen locally is that our universities are working to up their spending.

And Xavier is one that has really invested into their basketball team.

Like, I got my fill of sports in a big way.

I mean, how freaking unbelievable was this last weekend in college football? From seeing Texas come back and beat Ohio State down, like, what were they down? Like, 21-3 going into the fourth quarter.
