R.F. Kuang

A conversation from Writers on a New England Stage with NHPR's Jackie Harris and NY Times bestselling author, Rebecca F. Kuang. We’ll hear about her newest novel Taipei Story – an intimate story of a Mandarin student, Lily Chen, and her summer in Taiwan. The trip quickly devolves into a poignant search for understanding—of herself, her family, and the meaning of home. Writers on a New England Stage is a partnership between NHPR and The Music Hall in Portsmouth. This conversation was recorded live at the Music Hall on September 21st, 2026.
