For a long time, that day was something to survive until it became something she could redefine

redefineFor the 10th anniversary, I had been thinking a lot about how to commemorate that, and I ended up, um, doing a minute-by-minute account on Twitter of what that day looked like for me, from the time that I woke up to the time that I finally fell asleep, just to show people how much survivors go through in one day.

But then TikTok came along, so I decided to re-record, like, on video all the things that I had talked about already on Twitter.

As I was doing this and editing all the videos together, my daughter, who was six years old at the time, she comes bebopping back here, and she's like, "What are you doing?" We've had very age-appropriate conversations all along with the kids.

I was like, "Oh, I'm editing videos." And she's like, "Oh, they're about that day that, that, that day, that day that you were brave, your brave day." And I dropped what I was doing and looked at her, and I was like, "Yes.

Um, and, uh, he is, uh, somebody who studies content moderation, and, uh, uh, that's been a very negative, uh, industry, uh, from the Trump administration's perspective.

And he, uh, did a study that was critical of X, found that the number of hate, amount of hate speech went up after Elon Musk, uh, took it over.

And shortly thereafter, uh, Rubio, uh, Secretary Rubio, uh, sanctioned him under this, um, provision that we've talked about before that said, uh, he sa- said he's a seri- serious adverse-- There are serious adverse foreign policy consequences to his presence in the United States, and, um, which means that, uh, he, he is a, right now he's a, a, a-

He's a lawful permanent resident, I think

I, I'm not familiar with the, the Noah Kahan backlash.

I mean, it's more like Twitter-

... and Reddit, and I think it's more, like, people being frustrated that he appears to be, like, infallible.

I didn't even, I, I, I didn't see who it was 'cause I'm paying attention to the interview.

Uh, but that then proceeded with everyone on, on Twitter going crazy with it and retweeting it.

And, and unsurprisingly, uh, you know, every l- every lefty on Earth who doesn't like me-

Yeah.

So it's something that, that Twitter has decided that if I attend a game, uh, that the team loses.

Yeah.

Like, if you can find a coach that's gonna teach them to play the game the right way, teach them fundamentals, continuing to work on skating, and passing, and shooting.

Like, doesn't need to all be this high-level stuff that we see on Instagram and, and on Twitter.

Like, we gotta teach skating, teach passing, and teach shooting fundamentals.

And then all those other extra skill stuff, these kids, they start to do it on their own.

I can't even remember what...

So what happens is people send us letters on Twitter, on TikTok, sometimes they send it to my personal DM, right? And as soon as I see it, I copy it, and I put it in our notes for the show.

And I just, I date it, and then, like, you know, I can't find the DM.

I have looked in my personal DM.

I've looked in, on, on our s- our Twitter, our Instagram, our TikTok.

I can't find it.

I don't know if you're able to delete DMs.

It, I mean, it's a funny video, right? Not to laugh at, just, the, you know, differently able people, but it's a funny video.

And when you talk about, like, his value, the contract stuff that we've also speculated about, I don't know exactly what the future holds, but the fact the guy can hit, uh, that, [laughs] that does tend to go a long way.

Yeah, shout out, uh, Oscar Hightower on Twitter, brought up that same thing about la- uh, last week about him, uh, you know, Riley Green just kind of getting the reset with the IL stint.

I put on Twitter here, and I haven't deleted it, that we're gonna go and get battered there after that first 20 minutes 'cause we didn't- we, we look like miles away from them-
