Santa Monica

Well, and also, I think it's taken a bit to come to the West Coast, 'cause it's been happening on the East Coast a lot, like New York, Jersey has been doing this for a while.

And so they've done these parties now here in Santa Monica, right on the pier.

They did, like, this crazy yacht party in Marina del Rey, and most recently it was a hip hop party in Inglewood with Jermaine Dupri DJing.

So, like, celebrities and famous people are actually starting to get into the loop of this, and they're becoming bigger and bigger and bigger.

They're going to look at it and be like, oh, yeah, I know that store.

It's on Santa Monica.

I've been there before.

They sell a variety of goods.

It's nuts.

If I do have to go to LA that day too, there's a music festival in Santa Monica, and Olivia Dean's headlining- Oh ...

the Sunday show, and I have to go because I'm really upset that I didn't get to go in New York or Boston.

Yeah, me neither.

So unless you have like, unless you have an inject button, consider it.

And just magic has launched over, launched over the Santa Monica skyline off the podcast while you're, while you're out there.

I think there's not much you could do, but so key distinction.

I was in Santa Monica a few years ago at a place called bungalow with my client, Ed Edward.

And we approach a group of women, four or five women, like in a circle.

And I'm his, I'm playing wingman.

So like the ocean.

When I lived in Los Angeles to work with Arizona State University as their California Civic Innovation Fellow, we had our office was in Santa Monica right off of the beach.

And so to kind of center myself before a day of a lot of meetings or a big project, I would take 15 minutes, get a cup of coffee and go sit by the water and kind of find that center.

The lake or the river or even a pool day or something like that, like I just really value and appreciate water.

He was not in Birmingham.

He was in his house in Santa Monica.

And one of the reasons we got to talk was because he normally goes surfing every single day and the weather has been bad.

So he's like, yeah, I'll speak to you.

They've sacrificed so much for me, even when Wally told him that a future in kicking and he's got to go to school in the States.

They put things on hold for their life to pay for me to go and play in Southern California and play at Junior College in Santa Monica, which is like $32,000 a semester.

And It was crazy.

And they did that for me.

Wow.

And this morning we did the interview in Santa Monica and he he was great.

You know, his story is fucked

up.
