Los Angeles

And this was viewed as pretty provocative.

by a lot of mainstream white America and gave rise to the famous horrible Zoot Suit riots where a bunch of US servicemen basically ran amok in a Mexican American neighborhood in LA and beat the hell out of a lot of these guys.

In terms of the male adornment angle, there was a female equivalent, what was called a pachuca style, but most evidence suggests it was much more of a male thing.

Another example of this, and this is the sapours adornment.

I was not supposed to be here doing this with you guys.

So in February of this year, I was invited down to Los Angeles to record an interview live in the studio in South White Underbelly, which has, he's got probably, I think, 7 million subscribers.

What are you staring at in Chargers-Rams on Sunday in Los Angeles?

Tim, I'm going to keep playing the unders on the chargers.

As long as McDaniel's calling plays, as long as Herbert's the quarterback and these two can't seem to figure it out.

And the journalist Michael Hastings has died at the age of 33.

Hastings was killed in a car crash in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.

Reporting extensively from Iraq and Afghanistan, Hastings' widely read story showed the grim realities of war.

His 2010 Rolling Stone article on General Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, sparked a political controversy after McChrystal and his aides were quoted making disparaging remarks about top administration officials.

I mean, you got PCP, you got Mistake, and then you have Angel.

So obviously this takes place in Los Angeles.

Yep, of course it does.

And the tagline is, be it ever so humble, there's no place to hide.

There were only maybe eight or 10 theaters worldwide that were showing it.

I happened to be in Los Angeles and two of the theaters were there.

I went online.

I got the last ticket to one of the IMAX 70 millimeter showings.
