I want to start with the National League Championship Series last night because it's my show.
And when Coca Jordan and I were talking about what is the number one thing to talk about, it doesn't matter because the Brewers are in the Championship Series.
was sitting inside the studios last night of CBS Sports HQ in Stanford, watching Mizorowski take the field, thinking to myself, this is the opportunity for the Brewers.
Not because it was the pick of the day from Friday, which it was, which we'll win and take the credit for later in the show.
But when you've got your Cy Young award-winning pitcher going game one at home, you have to win that game.
Even though the Brewers won 103 games as the number one team, best team in terms of winning games, which is the only criteria I care about, they were the best team in baseball.
But come October, when you are trying to stop a team from three-peating, you better play errorless baseball.
In the playoffs, when you hit home runs and you out-homer your opponent, you are going to win the game way more often than you're not.
Coca, this is when we would benefit from me thinking in advance that I was gonna talk about the home run thing with Terang and the Terang bang, courtesy of Dermish, way to go.
And what I was thinking was, what's the stat? And there's always the stat that MLB releases that other people have, that when you out-homer your opponent, you win the game, Blake, percent of the time.
Let's just pretend I know the number right now, and then we can maybe fill it in after.
But I'm going to guess it's 75% of the time you out-homer your opponent, you win a playoff game.
