Little League Baseball

Yeah.

But my life with the broadcast season and the summer with the Little League stuff, like, I just love being home.

Yeah.

Like, if I can stay at home, I wanna be home.

So totally, totally fits.

I love hearing that.

W- I'd love to hear, you know something recently that, that popped up that was in between, like when we started, when I started researching and when we finally set a date is you got to call your daughter getting into the Little League World Series in softball-

Little League rules.

We played by Little League rules.

We were the best MLB team in the majors.

And just imagine if, let's just say you, Kevin Sorbo, you're a conservative congressman from Minnesota and your next door neighbor is a liberal congressman from California.

and your kids are in Little League together, and your wives are in a book club together, and you have to go to church on Sunday with this guy, everything would change in the way you guys interacted as congressmen.

You would be more polite, because in the back of your head, you'd go, crap, I can't yell at this guy because our wives are in book club tomorrow, and our kids are in Little League.

It would be a natural, more civil environment.

That's what I would want to change.

... are involved in organized sports, which is just unfathomable to me.

Uh, as growing up, everyone played sports, at least for a period of time, whether it be Little League softball, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, et cetera, et cetera.

So, uh, hopefully that initiative continues to play out well, and hopefully more kids can just continue to get involved in sports.

Yeah, in sports.

They didn't come forward when I was preaching.

I led them to Christ because I'm coaching their son in Little League or I'm involved in the PTA at my kid's school or I met them in my neighborhood.

It's authentically laying that filter on your own life of what it means to be a disciple.

And we can get so caught up in the machine of church that we're vicariously living it out because they're disciples being made in the ministry we lead.

Uh, New Jersey Transit is planning on replacing the remaining 20% with new buses that have Wi-Fi as the old buses are retired.

Uh, it may have rained yesterday, but no raining on the Bayonne Little League baseball team's parade Sunday.

The team of 12-year-olds were honored after the Bees won their first two games in the Little League World Series last month.

It was their first trip to Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

So you s- What was the first sport you remember doing?

Little League baseball.

I was the only female in San Luis Obispo youth baseball league, and I was obsessed with that too.

[laughs]

Anybody that watched that Western Michigan-Michigan game, it was obvious that Western Michigan got cheated out of a victory, but I just wanted to comment on their coach, Lance Taylor.

He's the same age as my son, and I coached him when he was in Little League ball, and he's just an outstanding young man.

And he was a gamer.

He was my catcher.
