Come hang out as we talk about another day at the office for Jeremiah Smith while Ohio State's linebackers struggled against Illinois.
Yeah.
So, um, what do you wanna talk about first? I feel like probably we just have to talk about Jeremiah Smith first.
Just get that out of the way.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, that is, like, obviously the most...
I, I mean, look, it, they, they won comfortably.
It was definitely the most positive outcome of the game.
It's just, man, Jeremiah was, uh, unreal again.
Uh-
Yeah
... [laughs] he was-
Well, the-
Go ahead.
They just br- they were just playing man coverage-
Yeah
... a l- a lot of the game.
And like, I don't know if it's, like, a pride thing or, like, if that was since, like, I, I don't get it.
Like, were they, do you think they were actually trying to win the game and that's, like, the, the, like, genuine thought that they had, was like, "Oh, well, if we can, if our guy can just win a one-on-one battle with Jeremiah Smith, we'll be good."
Yeah.
Well-
Like, what, like, what, what do you think that was?
I think, I think they ran a lot of man on their side of the field, or especially, like, uh, like when they, when we got down towards the red zone-
Mm-hmm
... because I think their thought process was like, "Hey, Ohio State's almost exclusively thrown fades to Jeremiah Smith when they're in the red zone, and so maybe we just kind of use the sideline as a defender and see if it works." Uh, it did not, obviously, but-
It didn't, no
Yeah.
