Now, when we look at the back end and coverage, I charted the Falcons playing man coverage on 31% of their plays.

That's up from their overall man coverage percentage from last year, which was 21%.

And look, I know this is hard for some people to get, but it weighs on you when you're like, man, I really can't see us winning with the offense looking like.

this it weighs on the players I mean that they had to know but the defense I thought it spent like for the first three quarters they were giving it their all and to me I mean I think the place to start is just like the defensive line like we were we were really concerned about how is this team going to generate pressure with four uh without James Pearson and Jalen Walker they bring in Z'Darrius Smith but he's coming off a season where he retired in the middle we know for personal reasons obviously but still hasn't played in a while and they're having to kind of piece it together they they didn't even roster uh Zach Harrison who might get the call up now that Deshaun Hand is uh on IR unfortunately um but They came out and they got pressure with four.

They were one of the most effective teams in the NFL at generating pressure with four rushes.

I think it was a 35% pressure rate or something crazy.

It's kind of one of those things where he's been on the shelf most of the summer.

So you're not feeling like, you know, from a schematic standpoint, from a coaching standpoint, like they aren't completely unprepared for this situation because they've kind of been scheming around it, you know, pretty much most of this year.

We'll see if, you know, Zach Harrison gets the elevation.

Larry Johnson's played freshman.

Zach Harrison in 2019 played 281 snaps.

He was second in defensive end snaps behind Chase Young.

JT Tui-Molowau in 2021 played 286 snaps.

Nick Bosa heard the same thing.

And he's moving better and looking better than he did five years ago.

I mean, we saw Reuben Bain not rack up a ton of sacks during the year last year, and then end up kind of dominating in, in the postseason.

But as an Ohio State fan, you, you, you like, you see that and you think about like Zach Harrison who led the country in pressures, but like didn't crack 10 sacks, ended up being like a fourth or fifth round draft pick the previous year.

Um, so, uh, finishing is a big thing, and you, you can tell when they're, when they're not bringing an Arvelle Race or when they're not bringing a Sonny Stiles, um, there is a little bit of a lack of explosiveness, um, in generating TFLs.

And so that's gonna be something they're gonna have to replace.

It's like pulling teeth.

But we will talk about the triumphant return of Braylon Trice to the practice squad and why, you know, between him and Zach Harrison, which of, you know, Terry Fontenot's former third-round edges currently on the practice squad will be missed the least this season if they don't.

And to be honest with you, I'm surprised that the 49ers went after a guy like Khalid Kareem over Zach Harrison, especially given that 49ers defensive line coach.

seems to covet this type of pass rusher that Zach Harrison is, that big, physical, long pass rusher, Mikel Williams, Charles Amenehu, Keon White, over the years.

But the other name that's interesting is Atlanta waved Zach Hamilton.

I mean, he's 6'5", he's 275.

He played, you know, for Raheem Morris' team a year ago.

And as I said, he's the physical prototype.

I have no knowledge of why Atlanta waived him, nor do I have any knowledge of why, you know, seems like nobody else is in a rush to pick him up.

You got a thought on Zach Harrison, the former Ohio State Buckeye? Because, I mean, I know he went to Atlanta and they had, you know, last year they had a pretty good year rush to the passer.

He was part of that little bit of a turnaround.

And if I were the Niners, the guy that I would be interested in is the guy, the Falcons cut Zach Harrison from Ohio state who had four and a half sacks and seven games last year.

Um, Raheem knows him.

Raheem had him last year on his team.

Again, that hasn't moved at this point.

The Falcons did bring Zach Harrison back.

He's on the practice squad.
