All due respect to the Cougs, uh, and the Aggies.

Um, if it's not happening now, how is it gonna start happening against Penn State?

Well, and yeah.

How is it gonna start happening, you know?

I don't think they're bad.

I still-

No, they have, they have Eastern Washington this week, right? Before the Penn State, before the Penn State, before the Big Ten schedule begins.

That's right.

But at some point, we're going to need a legendary Nico performance.

Now, we don't need it consistently like it was against Penn State, but we do need something that proves UCLA's got a quarterback that can play.

And not every game is UCLA going to be out there to outplay a quarterback like JKS in week one.

They're not always going to be able to outrun and out-muscle a porous San Diego State offense on the other side.

But so far, the it factor.

Nico has this myth, this mythology around him since he's transferred from Tennessee.

And Penn State kind of elevated it.

He single-handedly willed UCLA to victory and has willed himself on the field, continues to be the captain, and proved some of the doubters wrong in terms of his character.

I only root for Ohio State when they don't play

Penn State.

Every other time, I got

to root for everybody else.

And our two tackles kind of just go out there and didn't give up a sack.

That was the biggest stat of the game for me because they have some rushers, okay? Chop Robbins is a first-round pick, okay, out of Penn State a couple years ago.

They have some guys over in Miami, but I thought seeing our tackles, DJ Glaze and Colton Miller, just quietly go about their business.

We didn't call their names because they're guys who they were blocking, didn't make plays.

Like, again, same argument I made with Virginia to a point.

If this was the Penn State helmet, like this is basically Penn State from last year.

If this is Penn State's helmet, they're in the top 20 right now.

And I don't even know.

I mean, Virginia Tech has the brand.

I think that's a perfect observation, Micah.

If this were a Penn State helmet led by James Franklin, this is a top 25 team easily.

Suhey scored the first touchdown of the game in Super Bowl 20 as the Bears routed the Patriots.

Chicago drafted him in the second round out of Penn State, and Suhey, who was a John Madden favorite, played for 10 seasons in the Windy City, and in 2019 he was named to the list of the 100 Greatest Bears of All Time by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Matt Suhey was 68 years old.

It is really sad to see that, and boy, you talk about a dude who was loved in Chicago.

All I know, guys, is that they are alive.

All their goals are alive, and winning one of the big four, and there are no guarantees in some of the other games like Iowa and Penn State, but winning one of the big four puts them a step closer potentially to a playoff berth.

I don't think this is putting the cart before the horse because, look, the wording there from our guide, Dadoy, is he's feeling a bit better about those games.

And I don't think he's wrong.

So there is an opportunity here now, right, to get to 6-0 going into that Indiana game, which is going to be Big Noon.

and what an unbelievable environment that would be if you can get there.

And there are no guarantees, guys, right? I think Iowa defensively and Penn State defensively are going to be good enough to hold this offense down if it doesn't continue to improve.

So those could be some low-scoring slugfests.

Those two interceptions weren't his fault.

And for Dante Moore, I said at the Penn State game last year up at Happy Valley, that overtime game, he looked like the number one pick overall.

And we kept saying after that, we gave him a free pass.

We gave him kind of a mulligan here and there.
