But, you know, from a player standpoint, guys that you gotta watch out for, like obviously Aidan Hutchinson, Alim McNeill.

Tyleik Williams had a great first game against the run.

Yeah, of course.

He, I mean, when he was, when he was, uh, on, on the field, they were getting under four yards per carry.

At D tackle, Alim McNeill is the big name here.

He's been banged up a little bit the last few years, but he's healthy, and, and when he's on his game, I think he's one of the better, uh, all-around defensive tackles in football, and his running mate was their first-round pick in twenty-twenty-five, Tyleik Williams, out of Ohio State.

Uh, kinda known for stuff in the run, but I think he's got some pass rush use to him as well.

Uh, could be a young stud there.

Now, they have other good players.

Alim McNeill's good.

I like where Tyleik Williams is going, but in terms of true, pure edge rush, i- it's Aidan Hutchinson.

Now, the good news is they don't have another elite player on the other side [chuckles] like Houston did, but a lot...

He was coming off that ACL last year, too.

So getting those two guys in the trenses, trenches, second round rookie Derek Moore, a DJ Wonnum, a Tyleik Williams, the first round pick last year, that, that is, that is helping Hutchinson big time because there is...

You can double and you can ship Hutchinson all you want, but like there are, there's a lot more juice on this defensive line in Detroit and in that front seven than there was last year.

And when you got Hutchinson playing this, I mean, I don't know.

I mean, he knew he was gonna have a chance, and certainly with the, with the game flow and the Saints throwing 56 times, it tracks that the DPR, the pass rushing defensive tackle, would, would get maybe a bigger load than expected.

But maybe most interesting to me was that he played as many snaps against the run as Tyleik Williams did, and those two are completely different bodies, completely different players.

And there was Gill Howard lining up against the run, and maybe even more than against the pass, making a real impact.

You know, he, he, he said he had, and you can go find these yourself if you go look, several good reps against Cesar Ruiz, who's, you know, one of the, the better, more veteran guards in, in the NFC anyways, against the run, and, and he really impressed himself in that regard.

... to, to, to match him with, with runs.

And I, I think there probably is something to be said about Tyleik Williams maybe being a little tired.

Um, you know, he talked about that late in the game.

Well, one more guy on the defense, James.

You wanna shout out Tyleik Williams?

Um, yeah.

Well, yeah, Tyleik Williams played great.

Um, that, that pressure that he had on the two-point conversion, he just bulled his guy right back into the pocket, um, and made Chuck throw that ball early, way earlier than he wanted to on that.

So, um, that, that greatly helped the, the coverage on there.

And I don't know if they're gonna come back and crush the Can type thing a- and wanna stop the run.

Are you gonna see more Tyleik Williams in this game from a different standpoint for a different scheme? But it's one of those things where I think from the Lions, when it comes to Josh Allen, it's, it's contain him and...

A- again, you're not gonna stop him, but you're trying to contain him, right? A- and kinda limit him on those breakaways, tho- those scrambles that, that are just the, the, the drive killers a- and the big, you know, the big explosives, I guess.

That's your big thing.

I thought Skyler Gil Howard for a sixth-round rookie was tremendous, what he did, and you could see his influence on the pocket and, like, teams were, teams were having to double team him as well and, and that created opportunities for Aleem to be able to go and do his thing.

And the fact that Skyler Gil Howard came out and out-snapped Tyleik Williams, your first-round pick from last year, obviously they, I think it was more a schematic thing because it's, it's a weaker New Orleans interior line and they just were not able to run the football whatsoever, which kind of a big kudos to, to Gil Howard, that they didn't think he was gonna be much of a run stuffer, but the Saints had nothing.

But they obviously saw a chance to get the interior pass rushers in more and create pressure through there, um, hence why he gets in.

But I thought he acquitted himself, uh, incredibly well, given the circumstances.
