Episode 270: Thick Wizard

You know what else has been hot? These video game releases, I don't know, man.

I don't know.

Yep.

So we're, what, second weekend into Tocon being out.

I have not really played a lot of Tocon since we recorded.

I've played a little here and there, but not a ton.

Go figure.

The sweatiest of our friends has already gone in there and beaten all the combo trials and shit and become a fucking monolith.

You know what I mean? Great! Great! That was fun while it lasted.

But it's still moving right along.

It seems like they've done some patches on the PC side that have helped with the performance there a little bit.

I know that was a bit of a concern and a complaint that people had with the PC part of it.

And now, I don't think this can solely be put on Sony's shoulders because they didn't develop this game, right? But it seems like any time one of these Sony, like, quote-unquote PlayStation exclusive games also has a PC release, it comes out in rough shape.

Like, that's been kind of a running theme.

Now, we also know that the single-player stuff, at least, is not... going to be coming to PC in the future.

Seems like the multiplayer stuff probably still will be.

But hopefully they can get that figured out, because it's a bummer.

I

think they did manage to fix a good bit of the problems people were having.

Yeah, and well, you know what's funny is our buddy Randy, I don't know if you knew this, did you know that Randy bought the game again, but this time on PlayStation? I did not.

Yeah, he wasn't happy with the performance on PC.

And so we're in Discord one night and I'm, you know, Protecting Aorzea against the Ascians.

And Randy comes in and Jeff and he are sort of talking about the patch.

And he was like, well, I got tired of waiting, so I bought it on PlayStation.

So that man said, see you later.
