Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Well, as has been the case, my gaming time is still very much taken up with Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave.

I'm now in the middle of part three of this game, and I gotta tell you, I am honestly astonished at how Intelligent Systems managed to take all of these various mechanics that are introduced through the four storylines in part one, and somehow manages to filter them down into one single experience, and yet at the same time, it does not come off as muddied or opaque or overly convoluted in any way, shape, or form.

Basically what happens, and I'm going to just sort of say this as a way to sort of state it without spoiling anything.

So at least the console, the controller, and the Karen case, October 29th.

All right, now in terms of games that I'm currently playing, tons of Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave.

I think Yoshi and the Mysterious Book came out this year.

So basically the four main rivals of the four heroes will get to see their stories in Wave 3, which comes out sometime in 2027, which is cool.

So that's what the DLC plans for Fortunes Weave are.

Are you a Fire Emblem fan at all, Zen? Have you played any of the Fire Emblems before?

I have dabbled in some of the Fire Emblems.

The new Star Wars racing game, I can't really remember what it's called.

And Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave, those are two I've got my eye on.

And then there's a couple of indies on my Steam wish list that aren't out yet.

And Steam doesn't always put the release date on there, but I found this game called Hayaku Island of Darkness that looks like a really cool action platformer.

I think there's a pretty solid chance of that, to be quite honest.

We haven't had a Fire Emblem game since Awakening that didn't have some of its content locked behind DLC, right? They've been getting a little bit more bold, especially since, like, in Three Houses and in Fortunes Weave.

I don't think Engage did this, where there are, like, mainstay staple classes that are completely restricted to DLC.

Yeah.

You know, like the hot springs, you know, all this stuff that gets added on.

And it was true in three houses as well.

I don't think that people really bring this up as like a double standard, because I think the majority of people who didn't like it in fortunes weave also didn't like it in three houses.

And I would count myself among the among those that number.

It is so funny watching these guys interact with each other.

So, yeah, no, I'm looking forward to getting back to Fortune's Weave.

I have not touched it in about two weeks, which sucks, but I'll get back to it.

No, and then it's like we had that huge slew of, like you said, everything we've been waiting on, and then it's like we barely touched it.

I got to finish Fortune Weave.

Once I finish that, I need to go finish Wolverine.
