Like, I know this is something that you've encountered lately, and it's becoming more apparent that things like the, the Galactic Federation and like the SSP Alliance might have been, had double agents within those agencies that actually would be kind of like the Sith Lords in Star Wars that were just hiding in plain sight.

And so what do you think, you know, about that? Because this is another layer of this that most people don't consider.

Yeah.

Absolutely.

I mean, it- it's apparent that your years of research allow you to cover this from all angles because you just did a great job of breaking this down and what it could look like, and there's a lot of politics involved.

And like another Star Wars reference, but even the Jedi Council didn't know that Palpatine was, um, a Jedi, much less evil, you know? And so they were...

like, he was hiding there amongst them, and that's how the infiltration happened.

I think that's interesting.

It kinda reminds me of the latest Star Wars movie, the, the last one where they have the wayfinder, that it's like a very specific route through the cosmos to get to this, uh, empire stronghold.

Uh, I just very s- I think it's like, you know, a, a nod to that maybe.

Oh, yeah.

You're not allowed to come back.

So he says, what do I need to do to prove how much I love Arsenal? And I says, I'll give you my Arsenal socks if you give me that Star Wars painting.

Wow.

And to this day, every house I've lived in through college days and work life and to now, it's front and center in my house.

So going back to the source material, before I watch the film, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to the film, compared to the book, now that I'm sort of into that.

And then we'll be doing some Star Trek and some Star Wars, and we're going to be doing some Stallone with Judge Dredd and Fifth Element.

Yeah, so we've still got a lot of, you know, Some interesting stories and some interesting films to cover.

And then Vanessa was unable to join us for this conversation.

Which is a bit of a shame because Vanessa had sort of an outsider's perspective to Star Wars that I really wanted to get into.

So today we're kind of doing a bit of a temperature check about Star Wars, but then also about the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art that is opening up out in LA, which is not necessarily a Star Wars museum.

I want to put that up front, but definitely something that kind of helps to highlight storytellers of all different shapes and sizes.

And My guest for today is actually someone that I listen to regularly just about every day, and that's Eddie Pence, who I come to from The Ralph Report.

But you know, again, it is something where that whole community that you all have built over there is so impressive.

And it's just amazing to get a chance to talk to you.

And you know, through those shows, you've talked about not only your love for Star Wars, but also going into the parks and getting down to Disneyland because you are sort of in the LA area and a lot closer than we are here in Illinois.

They go, oh, we've been wanting to go to a Mav game and they're giving like I still wear that.

There was a Star Wars theme night.

Yeah.

And the shirt that came out with it was badass.

And so it's like, all right, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I like the Mavs.

I can only afford to go to one or two games here.
