We went like Nintendo 64.

Then we got an Xbox because I wanted to play Halo.

And then Xbox 360.

We jumped ship on Nintendo.

So I had the N64.

i think that would be hard though if they came out with like they came out with like a naruto game like dragon ball z kakarot i think that would be fun

they kind of did in uh in the early days in the early days for the xbox 360.

It was like the first three games.

And then next you know...

And she also said that she has been answering some support tickets recently.

on xbox herself i don't know how true that is but she's like i do everything in the company like i i'm not afraid to come in and do customer service or whatever but anyway as time has gone by things have become a little more cutthroat and a little more i don't know scabby but Like the Wall Street Journal said, she aggressively shares bad news in big batches, which I think is like one of the tenets of Machiavellianism to give loads of bad news at once while people are already down.

But she has said herself, clarity is kindness.

Which, I don't know, maybe in the current tech landscape it is.

Like, I think that's a great idea that they can digitize them and bring them forward if they want.

It will work only on Xbox One and Xbox.

xbox series x discs only so it doesn't work for xbox 360 or original xbox games but the bad news which is ridiculous really is that entitlement is tied to the specific disc so you can't share your disc with friends to digitize it which again is going to have huge repercussions for secondhand traders like CEX and stuff.

They're going to wipe out the resale market with this push forward where Disk2Digital is going to send people like rushing out to buy whatever physical copies are left to install on their consoles.

Yeah, why would we? I mean, at a certain point, you really had to wonder you know, there were the, for, for, for new listeners, Dave Ryan and I all went to the same university at the same time.

And, uh, uh, there were definitely rooms where like each guy in the room had an Xbox or a PlayStation or a GameCube.

And you had to wonder like, why did you need to take up all that space for two Xboxes or whatever? But we, we did not have, uh, you know one game cube per person in the friend group and yet we always had enough people for smash bros

y'all had your game cube and i was the i want to say idiot at this point who went away to college with a dual processor computer build before it was absolutely necessary 100 you were I had a dual Pentium three computer that never used both processes because nothing was written to utilize two processors at the time.

Next, on September 14, 2008, Rock Band 2 was released for the Xbox 360, developed by Harmonix and published by MTV Games.

Yeah.

you know instead of the one we got many many years later um but that game never came to fruition unfortunately and i i don't know how true this is but i i think for a long time rumor has it that level five was so pissed at microsoft that's why their games weren't on like xbox 360 and shit like that just because they were they're like microsoft forever Anyway, I don't know how true that is.

That was just the rumor at the time.

Point is, I've cared about Level 5 for a long time as well.

And I was actually trying to really think about it before I did this recording, like what other Castlevania games I played, but I feel like it wasn't like none of these were what grabbed me into the series.

It was just years later, I played Symphony of Night on Xbox 360.

And that's probably what really rooted my love.

And then I went back and I played the DS games.

Yeah.

playing it on a table with 8 million little pieces and 20 bajillion little cards you're wasting your life digital is the way to go with this when the dice roll give me my cards i've always played digital i love it i played it back on the xbox 360 that way anyway katan universe is kind of the de facto version of playing katan on it's a it's on everything it's on switch and it's on phones and it's on steam whatever but it has kind of stagnated they have not done anything with it for for a while they were adding to it adding some maps or adding new versions but they haven't done anything with it in now like three or four years.

So the other day I went kind of digging around and I discovered a brand new Catan-esque game called Landover.

It's totally free like Catan Universe.

And it's called LAN, local access network.

And so now they're all linked.

I would love to go back and play some more PS3 stuff.

Yeah, the PS3 and Xbox 360 era is up there for the best gaming era of all time.
