I, this morning, as soon as I woke up, dr- dream, dream, still dream-filled in the brain, I was like, "Gotta preload my Fire Emblem." [laughs] It's like-

You hadn't done that?

Mm-hmm.

They're, they're like, "This gets a 10, this gets a 10, this gets a 10," and now the new Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave or whatever, uh-

Got, got another 10, didn't it?

Got a 10.

Brendan, uh-

And-

Brendan Graber, who did the review, summed it up by saying, "Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave provides excellent pairing of combat strategy and management with compelling stories spread across all four of its heroes that comes together in, uh, to form one phenomenal RPG." 10 out of 10.

Wow.

I don't know.

I mean, Fire Emblem is coming out soon, like this week.

So I already preordered it.

Definitely going to try to play that at some point.

Yeah, it's a monstrous game in terms of like length.

And so then, too, you got to think about like, well, I want to play the new stuff that's coming out.

So it's like Brigandine is here, Fire Emblem.

cold sept begins comes out on friday i should say the physical copy comes out friday it's already been out since maybe june but the physical release is finally here um and so it's just like oh my god i've been dawn walking like although i will say like i'm not gonna play wolverine i'm not gonna play control resident so i i'll have some free time that other people don't have but then grand theft auto 6 comes out

But if we're just describing what a mechanic does and telling you whether or not we liked it, we are leaving the most important interpretive work completely undone.

And that's that's I think my where I say it's like an overview because so many reviews that I read nowadays and I and this would extend past Wolverine into the recently released reviews for the new Fire Emblem game.

I find that so many reviews are functionally the same as when nintendo before launch releases what they call an overview trailer and it just goes through all of the stuff that's in a game the only thing you're missing in a review from a review would then be somebody telling you at the end whether or not they liked that stuff

okay yes so so what i'm what i'm gathering in this regard then a review that goes live, and indeed will go live for future games, things like Control Resonant, Ace Combat, Grand Theft Auto.

I think Onimusha has this.

Orbitos has this.

Fire Emblem has it.

Fire Emblem has the 10.

Crazy busy.

Fire emblem.

Few hours.

It's just a few hours away.

Because it has to resonate with me, but I also have to see it resonate with the audience.

but the review commentary, at least same Sean, the review commentary that I saw in it, I don't just like look at Metacritic.

Like I kind of follow like the same, like, five to eight sites like the folks that I've known a long time that I know maybe people are writing so I'm not reading all the so today with the Fire Emblem there's great reviews but there's 70 reviews in there from places I've never heard of right so I don't even sight like those opinions and almost unanimously they all came out of the gate with the same take on Wolverine You know, and they were all pretty critical.

And I realized that there's some sections that like, you know, it's not very hard to progress on.

Maybe you could put the controller down for a bit.

Yeah, I'm very solid with it.

And I put the Series X down here, and that's what I've been doing this week.

So I've been sitting in this week-ish period where I have nothing to play because I'm waiting on Fire Emblem.

I can't start anything because Fire Emblem.

So if you play as the Capybara, apparently, in the way that a lot of video games have, that don't make a whole lot of sense.

Like in the context of Fire Emblem, the Fire Emblem equivalent is like, Hey, guy we've never met, why don't you micromanage all of our units in life and death situations from now until forever, and we will never question any of your calls.

Okay, sound good? Great.

Video game protagonists just get controlled and get to make decisions that make no sense.
