yeah like i've just never i never noticed these cards before me neither now i have i'm like i'm honing in i think they're awesome okay so i bought the shack is to give away on thursday the banks is for me and then the three marvel cards so there's six superheroes in the 66 donra set it's a 66 card set which is maybe why they did it in 1966 or vice versa there's six characters each have 11 cards I already had a Spider-Man and an Iron Man, and now I went and I bought a Hulk, a Thor, and a Daredevil.

And who's the last one again, David, that I'm not mentioning there? Captain America.

Who? Captain America.

I love how he looks.

So he looks drunk in this.

My favorite, though, is the Daredevil flying out the window.

I love the romantic image of the Thor with what might be his woman.

What's been some of your favorite superhero shows? I used to love The Flash till season five, and I quit.

Same with Arrow, but Daredevil was solid on Netflix, too, plus Punisher.

[sniffs] Lanky, I love you to death, and I'm so happy.

I'm, I'm so glad that you send questions every week because you take a lot of pressure off of us.

I was on the bandwagon where I was like, "Is it gonna be Kingpin?" And then it was, and I was like, "Yeah." [laughs]

And then it wasn't really that great until he showed up in Daredevil again

... you asked me if I watched Ms. Marvel, and I was just like, "No." And you were like, "Okay, good, it sucks." And I was like, "Yeah, I watched the trailer."

Uh, he's in The Mummy, he's in Stargate, he's in Mr.

Deeds, The Chosen, Daredevil, uh, Independence Day, Encino Man, though he doesn't wanna talk about that one.

But guys, yeah, uh, friend of the podcast, just overall great dude.[laughs] And we show that in the third act of this movie.

I'm like, "Hold on.

So-

I, I think there's something that needs to be said, too, about someone that can come in in a show that's not like... 'Cause, like, a lot of times on some of these shows, when, when we, what, review Daredevil, sometimes it'll be like, I don't know, who's that really, uh, Daredevil writer that pops up constantly? You know what I mean? But, like-

Yeah, it's like, like Dario.

Yeah, Dario.

Yep

... of adapting and, and shifting and, and finding within whatever it is you made something that fits.

You know, that's like what I think wh- when people talk about Daredevil born again 10 years from now if they ever are, you know, that'll be what they talk about, is how that show literally did a fucking circus act of, of somehow keeping the storyline coherent.

You know? Like, um-

He was great in Full Metal Jacket.

Oh, Daredevil?

No, no,

no. He's a good actor, so I don't doubt that.

They said the same

thing about Daredevil.

They said the same thing about Penguin.

They said the same thing about whatever.

Well, Penguin

was pretty good, so...

Well, I mean, all those shows were pretty decent, except for Daredevil.

But I'm just saying, this isn't the first time we've heard this is the best TV show, comic book TV show.

Brilliant.

It reminds me, if anybody's ever watched the television series Daredevil, and I don't know if you've ever watched it, George, but the backstory of that TV series is that the hero, Daredevil, who's a Marvel superhero, was actually, his dad was a boxer.

And his dad took him along to toughen him up a bit at the gym in his early days.

And I have to say, happily for you and not so happily for him, his storyline went off in a very different and bizarre direction.

everywhere you looked it was like there were scott pilgrims running around and stuff like that but nowadays you don't see that as much and it it factors into like larger pop culture trends and stuff like that which i i just think is fun to talk about but also i love uh cosplay i love uh you know convention culture and stuff so i thought it'd just be fun to have a list kind of around those things uh drew i don't know uh your thoughts on like uh on this list if you had fun putting this together or if you thought it was a challenge or kind of where you're sitting with everything it

was only a challenge because i had to think back on like every convention i've been to and the ebbs and flows of the the cosplay trends like it's interesting because like Like, the year Daredevil, like, launched on Netflix, the first season, every other person at the convention was Daredevil, right? Sure, yeah.

That's that thing.

Like, whatever the big thing is, everybody is that thing.
