Live Seahawks, Broncos, and NLCS Updates1:03 – 3:36

1:03

Welcome all back.

1:05

At MGM tonight, Westwood One Sports.

1:07

I'm Pat Boyle.

1:08

Phone number to join the show, 310-840-4910.

1:10

All right, let's get you caught up on both games here.

1:14

Seahawks with the football after they forced the Broncos into a three and out.

1:19

Man, can Sam Darnold get it going here? They're down 14-3 with a minute 40 to go in the third quarter.

1:26

Darnold is 15-26 for 135 yards.

1:29

He's been sacked four times already.

1:31

And he's...

1:33

Our video producer Monty in the show chat said it would be cool for Sam Darnold to realize he's not Lamar Jackson and stop running backwards.

1:39

Yeah, Darnold has been clearly affected by the Denver Broncos pressure tonight, and every time it feels like he does get pressured, he spins around and then just runs backwards as if he's Lamar Jackson.

1:53

And he's only been hurting himself.

1:54

I don't think one single time tonight he has scrambled out of the pocket, extended, and then made a positive play.

2:00

He's either ended up taking a longer sack than he would have normally, or he just ends up throwing the ball away.

2:05

So he's got to step up in the pocket.

2:08

I know it's easier said than done.

2:10

He's got to step up in the pocket and look for that escape hatch and take off and run, or he's just got to get rid of the football and dirt it.

2:15

Because again, he's taken four sacks and he's making some plays way harder than they have to be.

2:22

They haven't run the ball effectively again, though.

2:24

No surprise.

2:25

They have not run the ball well all season.

2:27

15 carries, 55 yards.

2:29

Emmanuel Wilson, their leading rusher, with 33 yards.

2:33

KSN looked hampered by the maybe slight ankle sprain that he suffered on Sunday against the Niners, but he's woken up in the second half.
