I'm concerned about their defensive coordinator.

In the last four games that this Rams defense has been on the field, they've been gutted by Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, and Brock Purdy, with all kinds of different talent on the field now.

This isn't, this isn't the team that has lacked talent over the last four games defensively.

Myles Garrett was completely ghosted by Kyle Shanahan, and there was nothing done by Kris Shula, defensive coordinator, to change things up or try to create some form of advan- an, an advantage.

They did.

Bryce Young almost beats them, and he, then he would have an extension.

Sam Darnold wa- was amazing against them.

Caleb obviously has incredible moment.

You have the Seahawks, who, again, are right up there as far as the favorites go.

They won their opener 13-10 on Wednesday, but Sam Darnold got hurt in that game.

They're saying it's a hip strain.

Don't know how long he's going to be out yet.

Backups get rings, too, you know? So show some goddamn respect next time you re- [laughs] you refer to him.

Uh, Prop, the Patriots, and I guess particularly Mike Vrabel, will be looking at that game with the injury to Darnold, with the number of turnovers that they had, with the game in their hands ostensibly, at the very least a tie, they're in field goal range when Drake may throw the final interception.

Obviously, they were pushing the button to try and win it all.

He'll be looking at that and thinking, "How the fuck did we lose that game?"

I mean, I, I was gonna say, I just, I just don't know how much confidence I have in, in Kyler Murray, and I, I get it that this defense is perhaps a good spot for him right now.

I was so much on the Kevin O'Connell quarterback train of, like, he can make any quarterback look really, really good.

Sam Darnold ended up looking better in Seattle than Minnesota-

An MRI win for Sam Darnold, who apparently has dodged a bullet.

And that it's a weird-- I, I will say this.

I, I'm not gonna celebrate that yet because, well, too hard.

But yeah, like I didn't love...

One of the guys, either Rapoport or Florio, I don't think it was Schefter, but maybe it was, throw his name in the mix.

They wrote that this is a weird muscle injury for Sam Darnold.

Uh, and these, like the timeline is not exactly obvious with something like this.

Because the Rams, listen, they were the, they are still probably the favorite to win the Super Bowl.

They were the favorite in Vegas in many places going into the season because of the way they played last year, got to the NFC title game, the additions they made, getting Miles Garrett and getting Darnold to, uh, to come back out of retirement.

And they're clearly really good, and they had the MVP from last year, Matthew Stafford.

But how about the 49ers? You know, the 49ers have been a proud organization for several years, and they have, A, been a really tough division with the Rams, with the Seahawks, who won the Super Bowl a year ago.

My God.

Is this what we're going to get? That no one can play offense and block or anything? I know that it's no one's fault that Sam Darnold got hurt, but geez.

I mean, look, With everything that happened, Sam Darnold gets hurt last night, Joe.

It looked like the Patriots are in a good spot.

We saw that was the identity of that Seattle Seahawks offense in the postseason.

Sam Darnold made a lot of big boy throws, but they leaned on Kenneth Walker, Super Bowl MVP, in that run game throughout the entirety of the playoffs.

So I think it'll be a heavy diet of that against the Miami Dolphins.

And they're going up against... a defense that has professional players but not a lot of household names, not a lot of guys that have been looked at as quality defensive players.

All right, we're getting some injury updates from that Wednesday nighter.

Sam Darnold, I guess as far as it goes, the news is, quote, good.

But they do think he'll miss at least one week with a hip injury.

Speaking of injuries, this dude Tua, man.

If you get a plea and you avoid jail time, That will speed up your chances of playing again, and it probably softens it enough that the Packers can get away with keeping you.

We shall see how that running back room emerges out of this.

I mentioned the Sam Darnold injury.

I didn't mention a more serious one on the Patriots side.

Because it's like, I don't know that there's such a difference between teams at this stage.

And then Darnold gets hurt.

And then the Rams decide they don't care.

So they're going to go five minutes before the game.
