Inside the Trojans' Huddle: USC-Notre Dame is back! Trojan Media Day, fall camp officially begins

Notre Dame-USC is officially back.

USC announced that return to the rivalry, a four-game agreement, negotiation, whatever you want to call it, starting back up in 2030.

I need to get everyone's reaction to this.

Greg, I haven't heard from you on this topic.

What do you got to say? USC-Notre Dame back in action.

I couldn't be happier.

You know, I thought it was ridiculous that it broke off in the first place.

I'm not going to place blame on everybody because I don't know all the inside of it because nobody can know the inside until things come out.

But the bottom line was is that when we went to Heritage Hall and – Coach Riley came in with a major announcement.

I don't think any of us kind of knew what the major announcement was going to be at the time.

I mean, some might have.

I didn't.

But when he said, you know, USC, Notre Dame is back on, I thought it was really interesting because, you know, what Riley said was very positive.

Like, he's excited it's coming back, which was great.

I thought what was interesting was – that the first – I mean, the first game, basically.

You know, usually it's zero week is the deal.

But talking to a source at USC, they said it's going to be the first game of the season, week one, which sounds like they're going to get rid of the formality of calling something week zero.

So – I think we could all get fired up for the first game of Notre Dame.

It's going to be in Los Angeles.

I think, obviously, that will have everybody's attention.

And then the following year, 2031, USC will go back to South Bend and play, I guess, maybe the first game at Notre Dame Stadium, which would be great.

You know, I mean, let's face it.

We all liked October.

I liked October.

I liked Thanksgiving weekend in L.A., But, you know, I understand the problems with it being in the conference and that sort of thing.
