Purdue played, what, two series? the preseason it's not like trent's gonna play or they they slow played a lot of veterans and they don't play tackle in you know they don't play get to the tackle to the ground in camp but they do play they do practice harder than most teams have you as you've noticed many times that's one of the reasons i think they do get injuries and they get ripped for it and you know analytics guys hate it but Tougher camps, tougher practices probably leads to being sharper in the beginning of the season.

So Keith, you was a professor at Purdue University in the Department of Agronomy.

Was there from 1981 to 2024.

You collaborated a lot with ag scientists in many research areas around forages.

But there are things like that that you look at and, you know, what I, What I find is that from an education standpoint that I will throw out to those that interact with producers is to have some samples of different types of forages, that are there, sample them for chemical analyses, and then let your clientele do a bit of a judging, if you will, of the quality of the forage as it is, which includes sensory analysis.

And then you can compare it to the actual chemical analysis to see if there are surprises along the way that may actually determine when you feed it to the right class or a class of livestock at that particular point in time, or just to help the course then finally in the balancing of the ration.

And that's one thing I found here in my career in Indiana at Purdue University is that the whole aspect of chemical analysis is not done as much as I would like to think that it could be, should be, even to the point that if you look at crude protein content and the fiber content to at least get it classified properly in terms of when it should be fed to when the species are at certain times of gestation or whether they're dry or whether they're growing animals and even that kind of placement, which means as we look at the aspect of chemical analysis, that you put that forage in a situation of storage where you know what field it came from so that you can have it as that particular identified point in time such that you can sample and know that, yes, it is from this particular date of this particular year, and then not just have it co-mingled in some sort of storage shed where you're getting three harvests, say, as together that you're doing.
