It's another wild week of college football and the boys have thoughts Listen in to takes on: - Georgia's huge road win at Alabama - Oregon's abysmal home loss to UCLA - Boise's day at the office at…
Number two Georgia, 20.
Number six Alabama, 17.
And I just need to preface my tagline and say this is completely unbiased.
The tagline reads, "Asterix, deez nuts, Kyler."
All right.
I, I get the reference.
Alabama fans all of a sudden think college football's rigged now.
One PI call and just it's the world against Bama now.
Um, kinda tough for Georgia fans to hear after, um, having seven, several battles with Alabama and, you know, come n- not getting every single call i- in those games.
So, as a, as a guy that grew up a Georgia fan, really don't have the time to, to hear any of that.
But, but for me, I wanna talk about the actual game.
I, I, I don't think an asterisk, uh, needs to be next to this win.
I think Georgia went out there and, and dominated the line of scrimmage this game.
Georgia was missing its top two running backs, Frazier and Bowens both out, and then had, had their third and fourth string go out there and, and put up amazing games, one for over 200 yards.
So that's great coaching, that's, that's great leadership from this team to have, you know, those younger guys backs that had to step up and, and fill into those roles.
I thought Alabama's offense still played pretty well, but they're, you know, they hadn't seen a defense like this.
I mean, they were averaging, you know, close to 50 points a game.
Georgia holds them to 17.
Uh, I think we got to see a lot of the, the real Georgia Bulldogs, um, that, that defense and what they're fully capable of.
But Keylan Russell, I mean, hats off to him.
Um, you know, Kirby even said in his post-game presser there, there's no containing Keylan Russell.
He's gonna get out and, and, and make plays with his legs and get first downs, and, and he did that.
He, uh, he kept this team in this game in, in third and long situations.
And, you know, hats off to him.
But, you know, one thing I noticed about Alabama as well, um, whenever there were short field opportunities, uh, like getting the ball to the 50 on, on one of the possessions, you know, they had, uh, three incompletions and a punt.
