KC Masterpiece with Johan & Andrew

Yeah, this is cool because we really don't get to see each other in person that often in a regular work year.

Yep.

But...

For those of you who had checked out our Austin, Texas pod from a month ago, I had told you that we're planning on doing something here in Kansas City and you're like, I want to come out to Kansas City.

Yeah.

And you somehow made it happen.

That trip kind of opened my eyes that I had come out of this fog of having a lot of young kids.

We took the whole family to Austin and it was pretty easy.

And so I was like, you know, I think everybody's old enough now.

I I think if I shoot out to Kansas City for a night, everything will be just fine.

And that's all you're here for, right? I'm here for literally one night, 36 hours maybe.

We threw a party.

We had a run.

Going to get some food and back on the plane back to L.A.

Yeah, so we're currently recording in a nice luxury building in downtown Kansas City.

And we just threw something with Gavel, which is our longtime retail partner run by Cam Niederhauser here in Kansas City.

And if you're not too familiar with the shop or with his personal story, we actually recorded something with him a couple years ago.

It was right on the heels of Wilson's, our cafe that we did for our 20 year anniversary.

He was in town and obviously we really love working with all of our retailers.

We felt some kind of kinship to him because he came up in the game a little bit differently.

A lot of our retailers found clothing, loved it, wanted to find a way to provide what they love to the people in their hometown.

But Cam has been in the industry for a really long time.

Yeah.

And so he was also into clothes on the fashion blogging side and hashtag menswear days.

So we were able to trade some really fun stories.
