So tell us about the book.

This is very exciting, kind of a, um, a science fiction, fantasy mix, right?

And you were talking about the time it took to, to put this all together, about five years or so.

I, how did this book change your life?

Well, I grew up in San Francisco as a city kid.

Um, I've always admired nature, but I didn't necessarily have a personal relationship with the natural world.

The couple remained together until Arnold's passing earlier this year in 2026.

In 2013, the brilliant American engineer and visionary inventor Mr. Ray Dolby passed away at his home in San Francisco at the age of 80 after a battle with leukemia and also Alzheimer's disease.

His groundbreaking work in noise reduction and surround sound revolutionized the audio quality of music and cinema forever.

In 2014, legendary jazz pianist, composer, and founding member of the crossover jazz fusion group the Jazz Crusaders, Mr. Joe Sample, passed away from mesothelioma at the age of 75 in Houston, Texas.

All right, moving on to Saturday.

We're here in the San Francisco headquarters of OpenAI to speak with Sam Altman after a really busy week that has a lot of people very concerned about the safety of AI and the possibility of civilization collapse.

I think it is unacceptable to be taking like a 10% chance of killing everybody by the end of the decade, obviously.

We're going to talk with Sam about his actual thoughts on that, where the technology is today, and what needs to happen to create safe AI that can benefit all of humanity.

And then the Giants defense barely held on for that for that victory, but that was probably the best regular season victory Dable had in his, in his, uh, three and a half years as the, uh, Giants coach.

The Jets, on the other hand, have lost eight of their last 10 season openers, and they get to open tomorrow, uh, in the one o'clock game at Tennessee against old buddy Robert Sala, who, like his offensive coordinator, Brian Dable, uh, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to match these guys up on one staff after they failed in New York, but, um, Sal was fired five games, I believe, into his fourth season by the Jets, spent a year back in San Francisco as their defensive coordinator, and now gets his second opportunity to be a head coach.

And he hired Brian Dable as his offensive coordinator.

He gets to work with Cam Ward.
