Uh, in 2001, he founded the Joe Buck Classic, a charity golf tournament which he supports in his hometown of St. Louis Children's Hospital.

And then I'd pop the tape out, and my dad and I would drive home after the game, and we'd put the tape into his tape deck in his Lincoln Mark VI town car thing.

[laughs]

And we'd careen our way on Highway 40 back to the county in St. Louis, and he'd give me things that he thought were good, things that he thought weren't.

You know, things to work on and, and, uh, and, and that's just how I grew up.

Like, uh, I, I'll give you an example.

Like, uh, like, a couple years back, I, I stumbled into owning a studio, a recording studio in St. Louis, Missouri, and I, I live in Chicago, so I was, like, splitting my time between St. Louis and Chicago, and the studio in, in St. Louis was in a, in a really rough neighborhood.

And so I felt a little uneasy about leaving it alone while I was gone, so a buddy of mine there, I was like, "Hey, can you, can you keep an eye on my studio spot whenever I'm not in town?" And he's like, "Yeah, no problem." So I gave him a copy of it-

Like, Reckless Records is great.

Um, there's, uh, The Dusty Groove is really great.

Um, there's a record store in St. Louis, Missouri, called Dead Wax that is fantastic, such a good record store.

And, um, I was just in, uh, Massachusetts, and I'm always happy to go into a Newbury Comics.

It's just like, it's hard, and it's, it will break up your, the rhythm of a-- Even if you're someone who can run 5:42s, you know, 5:30s all day, like it's still a lot to, I, I think you said it well, like transition in and out of that rhythm.

So on the roads, you know, with the marathon, we're always curious for people, like they've announced St. Louis in 2028, and when you think about that, where does your mind go, thinking about lining up at the trials?

Just awesome.

Like that would be awesome if I can get there.

It started when he left town for work, and Donnah used the time to take Bailey to Florida to visit her family.

When they came home, Donnah's mother arranged for a shuttle van from a Missouri company called Bart Transportation to pick her and the baby up from the airport in St. Louis and drive them the roughly two hours home to Springfield.

However, things didn't go as planned because the shuttle driver terrified Donnah.

The man driving Donnah's shuttle was a 27-year-old named Roger Harrington.

But Jim, this series in St. Louis, I was really hoping that what we saw from Randall Gritchick on Saturday can create some type of spark But Sunday, the White Sox regressed back to more of the same that we have seen in September.

And now their lead in the American League Central shrinks to just a half game over the Cleveland Guardians.

What's your takeaway from what we saw this weekend in St. Louis, Jim, as the intensity is really picking up on the Chicago White Sox?

Yeah, I guess sometimes you get a spark and it lights a flame and keeps going.

And other times you see a spark and then nothing happens and you smell natural gas and everybody has to leave because it's getting pretty bad and professionals need to come in to fix it.

The White Sox did not fare very well Again, so counterparts over in the National League Central.

But you mentioned as far as the issues with runners in scoring position and the offense, that's been a lot of focus on the Chicago White Sox, especially in the month of September.

And, uh, well, let's see, uh, what happens with Stan Musial, as he'll be the first man up here for the National League team in the top of the second inning.

All star appearing in his eleventh All-Star Game, Stan "The Man" Musial, out of St. Louis, was born and raised in the city of Dunmore, Pennsylvania, on the Monongahela River.

Here's one of the nice guys in this grade, a fella that you're always glad to see.

Stan Musial is tied with his teammate, Red Schoendienst from St. Louis, as the number five and six hitter for Phillies wise in the National League as of this moment.

Musial batting at .331, has a total of 26 home runs and leads everybody in the Major Leagues with 82 runs batted in.

Philadelphia, four, Houston, one.

Cincinnati shut out St. Louis six to nothing.

Second game, it's two to nothing.

And the game just saw when the Cardinals won the second game two to one.

That's his third hit, a line drive right over the first baseman's head.

Cincinnati won the first and sixth nothing, St. Louis the second two to one.

And in fact, I was just on an email with a producer from St. Louis, and we're booked on a morning show at one of the stations in St. Louis.

But getting back to organic media, one thing that helped us are the Amazon algorithms.
