And this week we are, we are at such a, such a, um, junction of, uh, amazing, amazing changes that are taking place.
And that whole enigmatic, just larger than life generation of the desert, who received the Torah at Mount Sinai, experienced all the miracles of the exile, and ate the manna, and drank the well, the, the water of the Well of Miriam, and all their ups and downs and all of their amazing, um, challenges, uh, which ultimately they basically [laughs] failed with as w- as everything will fall apart in the Sin of the Spies.
That's happening this week, and at the same time we are well advanced in our counting of the Omer.
Uh, next week, the end of next week, we'll already be observing the Festival of Shavuot with everything that that entails, the re-receiving of Torah.
But before that, this week we are faced- facing, um, the arrival of a powerful, emotion-laden, spiritually powerful day, and I refer of course to Jerusalem Day, the 28th of Iyar, which this year falls on Friday, the 15th of May.
There's a lot, there's a lot of attributes, a lo- a lot of emotional midot that can describe, uh, the feeling of what Jerusalem Day is.
It is, um, a messianically tinged vision of, of the, of a, of the real unification.
But, but above and beyond, above everything, it's just this incredible feeling of gratitude-
And this week we are, we are at such a, such a, um, junction of, uh, amazing, amazing changes that are taking place.
