Ezekiel

We declare your word over his life first.

That is Ezekiel 18 and 4.

Your word declares, behold...

All souls are mine.

You are the one who rescues us and you are all powerful and you are all mighty.

We lift our son's soul before you, his mind, his will, and his emotions before your very throne today.

You declared in the book of Ezekiel, that all souls belong to you and i declare your word right now that my son belongs to you regardless of where he is or what he is facing i declare that he belongs to you and he will find his way home i pray father that he would put on the full armor of God.

I pray for the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit.

Now, I need to stop here and give you a principle about prophetic writing that will help you when you read other prophetic writings like Isaiah and Ezekiel and Daniel and certainly Revelation.

In prophetic writing, you find that the past and the present and the future are written side by side.

I want to explain that.

The Ark, the sacred fire, the Shekinah, the Holy Spirit, and the Urim and Thummim.

The leaders defending this temple in verse 20 are defending a magnificent structure whose innermost room has been an empty chamber for 600 years in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel saw the glory of Yahweh depart from the temple in stages.

from the inner sanctuary to the threshold from the threshold to the east gate from the east gate out of the city entirely chapters 10 and 11 and the glory never comes back not in ezekiel not in ezra not in nehemiah haggai promises the latter glory of the house will be greater than the former but no narrative ever describes the kabod filling the second temple the way it filled the first So where did the glory go? John 2.19 is the answer.

The glory did not return to a building.

The thing the tabernacle carried through the wilderness.

The thing that filled Solomon's temple until the priests could not stand.

The thing that departed in Ezekiel and never came back to a building.

You know, King David was, of course, a man after God's own heart, but Israel's always been usurped.

I know Ezekiel points that out when he had Ezekiel dig into the wall.

He's like, look in there.

The women are worshiping Tammuz.

I mean, as I said this morning, Christ is not coming back to New York City or Washington, D.C. He's coming back to Jerusalem.

And the Bible couldn't be more clear about that, that Israel plays a central role in the culmination of God's plan of the ages.

It began in Genesis with God's unconditional promise to Abraham, the father of the Jewish people, and it will culminate with Christ himself, the Messiah, the ultimate seed of Abraham, as Paul tells us, taking the throne and ruling with a rod of iron in perfect peace and righteousness and justice in Ezekiel's temple in Jerusalem.

So you cannot turn the church into spiritual Israel, because then you have to have a spiritual temple, which they do.

God breathed on Adam and Eve and they became living souls.

Now they have been breathed upon with life and power and When Ezekiel the prophet saw a vision in the valley of dry bones, these skeletons had been slain in battle and nothing was left but a bone here and a bone there.

But then the sinews came together and the bones were connected.

But they were still lifeless and powerless and then God breathed.

That's why in Romans 2, Paul talks about a true Jew, so to speak, is someone whose heart is circumcised to God.

I mean, that's even Old Testament too, right? I think even he gets into it with Ezekiel and talking about giving you a new heart.

Jeremiah 4.4 says, circumcise your hearts.
