And so he would have them kind of in his cabinet, if that's what you want to call it.

But when Jesus is refuting those Pharisees, the Sadducees, right? He's also refuting those who follow Herod, right? The Herodians, the Essenes, the ones that are known for being the holders of the Book of Enoch, the War Scroll, the Temple Scroll, the New Jerusalem Scroll, all of this apocalyptic literature, right? The thing to do now is that when you kind of understand these three sects, you have to understand and read the New Testament because this is when the writers are writing to those people.

And in Jude, the only time someone can fight about saying that, oh, it references Enoch, read the beginning of the chapter.

Jude is refuting people who have snuck into the church unaware and are talking about doctrines that should not be talked about, okay? That are not of God, okay? And he references Enoch in that because it's relational to the person reading this because they're hearing these stories too.

They didn't do things like the Sadducees did things.

And they wanted to set up their own society and their own thing.

That's why you see like in the Dead Sea Scrolls, there's what's called the Temple Scroll, which by the way, they believe is going to be like the third temple, like the Essenes, right? So

And anyways, so he looked through the Dead Sea Scrolls, specifically the Temple Scroll, the Damascus Document, and some other things.

The Dead Sea Scrolls, for those who don't know a little bit of the background, so Jerusalem... was not always a great place.

They come back from captivity and they rebuild the temple.

The Samaritan Jews built a temple.

And then these guys in Qumran talk about the future New Jerusalem, the future new city that will have the temple.

So it's a big theme in the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Temple Scroll, and the Pesharim and Damascus document.

They talk about some of these things.
