Psalm 94

Psalm 37 verse 23 to 24 When I said, My foot slippeth, thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

Psalm 94 verse 18 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.

What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Romans 8 verse 28, 31 and 35 to 37 That he, Jesus, might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

For the wicked cover themselves with silence, subtlety, and dissembling, like little children, who think they are hid when they shut their eyes, and that nobody sees them because they see nobody, but God sees them all bare and naked, better than they see themselves.

God who is not only all hand, as holding and guiding all, but also all eye, as seeing or searching all things, he sees through the thickest substance and darkness is light unto him, and therefore the royal prophet Psalm 94 justly taxes this sottish wisdom.

Take heed, ye unwise among the people, ye fools, when will you understand? He that planted the ear, shall not he hear? Or he that made the eye, shall not he see? In this place the prophet calls them unwise, not the fools that run mad up and down the streets, not the idiots, not the gross common people, but the great politicians, who manage all their matters so smoothly, as if they thought to hide themselves from the all-seeing wisdom of God, or to dazzle the eyes of his providence.

But as those are the fiercest fevers that have the coldest fit at first, So that is the most desperate folly that is visited with wisdom and greatest discretion.

And apparently they know nothing of their history, though they claim to.

Psalm 94:15 tells us what? By the way, we're set as a light to the nations because of the judgment, because of our intolerance towards the things that people are tolerating, okay? That's what-- That's the truth of the matter.

That's our history.

But judgment, the Lord's judgment, shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

As God's guidelines for human conduct, they are reliable and trustworthy.

Now we'll move on to Psalm 94.

This is the personal name of God when I say Lord.

The Lord is a God who avenges.

He will never forsake his inheritance.

This is really kind of important right now today, 2026, because this is about Israel.

And there's a And, um, this verse here in Psalm 94 verse 14, for the Lord will not reject his people.

He will never forsake his inheritance.

Don't go looking for joy in another group or activity or job.

Psalm 94 verse 19, When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Just allow the joy of the Lord to fill your life.

That's what the love of God does for us.

He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him.

And now, Psalm 94, verse 1.

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth, O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show thyself.

Verse 2.

So that's what we want to kind of look at today.

Psalm 94. is where we're going to start.

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs, O God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth, rise up, O judge of the earth, render punishment to the proud.

Lord, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph? They utter speech, and they speak insolent things.

and he should cast them off in their own wickedness.

The Lord our God shall cut them off.

So is Psalm 94.

Notice throughout that Psalm how David is, he wonders why the problems, why the issues come up that are so troublesome and terrible but he knows also that in spite of all the terrible things that are going on in and around him, the Lord's still gonna win.
