Episode 992: Congratulations, Sailor. You Made it to Celtics Preseason

Man, it's a lot, man.

It's a lot.

It's a lot.

Uh, first off, I'm gonna go with the rookies.

Um, uh, Chris Sinack Jr. and, uh, Dylan Mitchell.

Uh, of course, the preseason is the time for these, um, these, um, type of guys.

Um, not sure if Tamin then will play, but, um, they can, of course, but obviously th-th-they're not gonna play a lot of time.

But the rookies, Amari, um, the, and like the two-way guys, um, Devon Carter too, like all of those guys, I, I'm excited to see the lower, uh, end roster guys, 'cause I think this is the time where they will get a lot of, uh, tick, and, um, you'll see some.

You, you'll see some of, about them.

I remember last year, Ugo had those couple, um, esp- especially his first game against the Grizzlies, where I was like, "Okay, this is real." Like, he's a real player.

So, um, hopefully I can see some stuff in Chris and, and, uh, Dylan to make me feel that way too.

But yes, I'm very excited to see the n- um, the younger guys in this preseason.

Expectations for the younger guys, Chris, Dylan, you can even l- uh, rope in the two-way guys if you want, the potential two-way guys.

Anybody in particular that you're like, "I really think we're gonna see something that's eye-opening out of these guys," or just any, any cautionary warnings you'd like to give the listeners not to get too down on anyone either?

Yeah, it's preseason.

Um, I said this a lot last year.

The season is waves, man.

The season comes in waves.

Bless you.

Um, a lot of people start, and then they don't start.

They play, then they don't play.

Um, so it's a rollercoaster, man, and, uh, don't get hooked up on preseason.

Don't even g- get hooked up on somebody's rookie year, because a lot of people were down on, uh, Shamet after [laughs] his rookie season.

Um- A year, two years isn't even, is not enough to give a full, like, "Yeah, oh, yep, that guy's trash." And that's gonna happen after one preseason game, so.

But no, um, expectations, I don't expect a lot this season from any of th- these guys that I'm, uh, talking about, whether it's Chris, Dylan, Amari, Devin Carter, um, [smacks lips] Uzoh, you know what I'm saying? These guys are two-way m- main guys.
