Um, and so we're gonna see a whole lot more of these permutations this year.

Plus, you know, Paul George, whatever he can chip in is obviously gonna be helpful.

He came in with demands and he strong-armed us to trade for a second star upon arrival.

That ended up blowing up in our face, 'cause even though we did get the 2021 Western Conference Finals appearance and Paul George was arguably more valuable than Kawhi in that run, now, I did not say more valuable in the Dallas series, 'cause that would be a real lie if I said that.

Kawhi Leonard was the man in that series.

But if you count the whole run and include games five and six against the Utah Jazz, then Paul George was the guy.

You know what I mean? Paul George was our, kind of our MVP of that postseason.

But besides that, Paul George was a very disappointing Clipper in basically every other season.

SGA, and I know it's hindsight, ended up becoming arguably the best player in the world.

So we woulda never had to make that trade if Kawhi had just said, "Hey, I'm coming to the Clippers.

But once Tatum came back at the end of the year, it felt a little more standardized.

I think part of the reason, among many reasons, they were comfortable making the Jalen Brown deal was not because they were obsessed with Paul George getting him in the building.

It was because they're pretty confident they can backfill with the talent on this team.

And To me, the obvious guy to take a big leap would be Peyton Pritchard.

And he might look better and make me look really stupid.

But like, I think Paul George is at the point of his career where he really needs someone to be drawing a lot of attention.

And then he could be a really, really deadly outlet secondary guy.

And also, maybe Keita just is awesome forever, and him and Mitchell Robinson and Luka Garza will Boston their way into oblivion.

I don't know.

I just think it matters that you went from Jalen Brown, a guy I love, to Paul George, a guy I think is okay when he's available.

So, it's just so funny that all of these domino effect, all of these moves that were made as a result of getting Kawhi Leonard to the Clippers.

I think the interesting thing now will be, are they going to completely tear down the rest of the team and see if they can go out and acquire other picks and to try and continue to stock up because obviously, yeah, they are hamstrung.

And then when you look at the tree and look at all those various branches that go back now that if they hadn't done this and if they hadn't done that, they don't make the Paul George trade and they still have Shea Gildress Alexander and think of all the picks that they gave up in addition to all that.

It's massive if you look at the branch far enough back to see how much the Clippers truly lost.

And this was, for years, one of the teams that was And listen, I don't want to sit here and say laughingstock by any means, but they were a team that struggled for a long time, struggled for relevancy, struggled sharing a building with the Lakers.

They finally seemed to get out from under that for a little bit during that sort of the Lob City era with DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, whatever.

That lasted a short window of time.

And then they kind of take a dip again, but then they got their own building and they got new ownership and they got Kawhi Leonard and they got Paul George and things are looking up and then boom.
