I visited this field this year.

And the thing is, You know, if you had two cities out in the West, you're going to need to move someone to the Eastern Conference.

You know, with this Thunder team, I mean, we know all the guys that they have, but they're going to be missing Chet Holmgren.

They're going to be missing Jalen Williams, Kaysen Wallace, et cetera.

Still look – like a pretty good team.

Well, LeBron returned to Cleveland at the very start of the season over the summer.

The Cavs drafted and traded Andrew Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves to get Kevin Love to pair with LeBron and Kyrie in Cleveland.

Steve Ballmer bought the Clippers during that off season before the season started.

You know, things have happened, but I thought that was interesting.

And then him being out there alongside Cooper Flagg, you can see how much he benefits from having him alongside there on the floor.

But an opportunity for the Jazz in the middle of this road trip before heading to Minnesota that they can go out there and try to get something.

Yeah, I mean, we talked about on the last show, I believe, like, each of these games you've, for the most part, have seen areas of growth, and it's still the search for a full 48 minutes.

You know, the first half against New Orleans, they did a really good job in shutting off the paint, which is what the Pelicans want to do.

He can just be mad at reporters instead.

I believe in those two teams as a top four.

And then Minnesota lurking, even with this injury to Anthony Edwards, they've still stabilized, won some games.

Won in Houston.

yeah it's always fun to have have a guest on after uh after a win I know the first kind of regular season the first two years I've done this pod there's been plenty of crash out sessions you know um I remember the first year I did it I every time I had Travis Singleton on literally every time they had just a month monstrosity of a loss um And this year, it doesn't feel like that's kind of the vibe of the team.

But, yeah, I guess just before we dive into this Rockets game, probably for sure their best win of the season, where are you at with this version of this Timberwolves team?

Yeah, I mean, I think coming off this Rockets game specifically, I am, I mean, obviously, like three games into the season, we were on top of the world with this team.

They were blowing out everyone by 20, Ant was healthy and scoring 40 every night, whatever.

I think moving forward that they'll be able to fill some of that stuff out relatively cheaply.

If they're good at identifying the right guys, which to this point, like, I think Nikhil Alexander Walker is like the prime example of this.

I think to a smaller extent, right? Like he hasn't gotten a big payday, but Bones Highland is an example of this as a guy who is just like, borderline going to be out of the NBA and has now like is playing real minutes and Jonathan Kaminga is now another example of a guy who like these guys were on the verge of not having NBA careers like these guys were on the verge of having to go play overseas and the Timberwolves identified them as guys that had talent that had been untapped and provided like the the framework for them like told them the things that they actually needed to do to succeed and get paid right like and now Nikhil has leveled up even more in his new role because he proved that he could do the small the small things the role player things that kept him in the league and then he had an opportunity to scale up and I think there's a decent chance the same thing happens with Jonathan Kaminga so like I said next offseason if they need I don't know what they're going to need next offseason.

But if they need such and such a player and there is some kind of distressed asset type player who's on the verge of being out of the NBA but has a ton of talent that they can make the pitch like, hey, look at these guys.

And the Pelicans play Denver, I'm pretty sure, for a third time.

And it's a busy place.

And so you get a lot of opportunity to perfect your craft.

Throughout the course of my career, not only has kind of, well, have security protocols and concerns changed significantly, but also what ticket buyers expect when they go to a game or a concert has changed significantly as well.

And, you know, we're all in the business of trying to provide the best experience possible for someone that comes into the venue, and that's great and people love that, but then what happens too is then they expect more.

And then the next time they need more than just the Timberwolves action pack in the Skyway with the music and handing out free things as people are coming in.

Now, if you take that away, then it's noticed, right? So the expectation of what we deliver has changed quite a bit as well.
