But I don't feel great about these two going into the year, which really just means I don't know if I can trust Joel Embiid, which is the big question going into every Sixers season of the last, you know, however many years at this point.

And as Bree puts up some of the numbers from last year where Joel played, uh, right there 38 games, some of the playoff games of course against the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.

He averaged close to 27, pretty much 27 points and eight boards a night in those 38 games.

Uh, 71 for Adem Bona and, uh, four, five points, four boards, just kind of rounded up.

... for, uh, any sport franchise.

So they're really driving up the value of these teams, and that's part of the reason why the Celtics recently sold and the Lakers recently sold, is 'cause they're trying to drive up these valuations for, um, Vegas and Seattle.

And the reason why is because the owners of the 30 teams that we have in the league right now still have to vote on whether they wanna do this.

But we gotta start with a whoopsie, I guess, David, because, uh, [laughs] because of the way our schedules worked out yesterday, we recorded our episode of Locked On Heat yesterday afternoon, and then we had to schedule it ahead of time to give enough space for the episode that we recorded in the morning.

Uh, and we focused the entire episode basically on whether or not the Heat should sign John Konchar.

Yeah.

They kept that spot open, and Klay knew, "If I buy, if I get my buyout from Dallas, I'm making my way to Miami." Um, so we'll see what ends up happening with the 15th roster spot here.

Uh, on the other side of the break, we watched the Paul George press conference, uh, in Boston, the introductory press conference, and something stuck out, specifically how different that was versus what we've seen recently in Miami.

We're gonna talk about that next.

So I would say my job is to get you to listen.

Like what? I was going to call it quick hits, but some of the stuff was just like, what? Like Mitchell Robinson says he's confident, ready for next season with the Celtics.

Quote, was working out with my coach in Boston.

And you know what he said? He didn't know that I had that shit.

that I showed tonight.

For sure, he probably does.

But those things get exposed in the open floor against competition against nine other guys playing basketball at the same time that are at that level, okay? So anyway, I'm happy for Mitchell Robinson.

I think it'll be a good situation in Boston.

And like what? Paul George says he's not there to steal Jason Tatum's spotlight.

Like, even another guy I haven't talked about very much, but I think would still be an interesting fit as, like, you know, this jumbo ball handling wing guard player is like a Delano Banton type.

Haven't talked about him as a possible option, but he's somebody who I think would be an interesting fit just as a guy who, you know, played on the Boston Celtics next to Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown on that team, was able to be a pretty valuable player for them in certain stretches, has also played, you know, with the Toronto Raptors, another team that has a, a pretty huge background as far as defensive acumen and their emphasis on perimeter defense, particularly point-of-attack defense, aggressive on-ball coverage.

So that's one of those things where I think that's somebody that comes from a background from two other really solid Eastern Conference teams.

Delano Benton can be a solid decision-maker with the basketball.

And yeah, we'll have to see what happens with him.

He's going to be going to training camp with the Boston Celtics.

We'll see if he actually makes their final roster.

But yeah, I think that's going to go ahead and do it for now.
