the point guard on this team, there's not really a competition.

We know kinda what Jrue's role is gonna be, and then it's like, all right.

Do Conwell and Donaldson work their way into this at some point when they need something different? But that's what it is, and that's one of the reasons that they're not going out and get anybody.

The biggest thing to me that shows trust is they haven't, they haven't gone out to go get a Gabe Vincent or somebody like that.

Yeah.

And, um, hey, if it all doesn't work out, why don't we just trade for either Jrue Holiday or Kyrie Irving, bro?

I'm just saying, bro.

There's no Tamani Camara on this team.

There's no Jrue Holiday.

There's no Donovan Clingan.

By the end of this, is he just going to be like Joe Mazzulla's right-hand man on the bench in a way that Drew Holiday, I feel like, was on the court?

I guess so.

Like another veteran presence, just like a coaching presence.

Right.

And then you got Jrue Holiday, and you got Scoot Henderson, and you've got you.

So are you playing off the ball? Are you playing less minutes? His coach already said in summer league he wants to bring him off the bench.

[laughs]

I've been saying, so with true holiday, I've been saying, I think there's a small possibility that, that he could either start at the three spot alongside Damon jaw, or at the very least we'll see a lot of those three guys out there together.

Cause I really think they're going to try to keep all three of them to see if they can all kind of coexist, play together and, Obviously, too, like the leadership that Dane and Drew can provide, a guy like Ja.

I just think it makes a lot of sense to kind of see how that plays out.

And then if they deem it to be too many cooks in the kitchen, then maybe they shop Drew Holiday a little bit.

But I think we're going to see those guys out there together.

It's also kind of a handcuff in case anything happens.

You know, somebody that's fought through, you know, taking care of the ball, made winning plays in the highest stakes games.

And I keep coming back to Drew Holiday.

I know the money is crazy.

And I did say many times, I have said many times, I'm not sure if I've said it on this show, that point guards get old in this league.

And I'm starting to talk myself into this because I keep thinking about a matchup in the playoffs against the Heat.

Or I keep thinking about a matchup in the playoffs against the Celtics.

And a guy like Drew Holiday, he's not backing down.

He sees Peyton Pritchard in front of him.

He gonna blow somebody's shit smooth off for sure.

Yeah, I like that Portland team, what they got going, especially with Drew Holiday.

Drew Holiday is a great balance for any team.

He's one of those perfect pieces that just, he makes your chessboard look so much better.
