Grizzlies went one and two in the Salt Lake City Summer League, hammered OKC by 37 in their opener back on July 4th.
That was good, and we see the Grizzlies, we saw the Grizzlies give second-year man Cedric Coward the green light offensively.
You know, what stood out to me most, number one, was the fact that this team adjusted and, and, you know, when they ran into some adversity, uh, they kept fighting.
Figured out a way to keep playing, to keep these games competitive, to keep them close.
Um, even when the offense kinda got away from them after that first marvelous, dominant performance on Saturday against Oklahoma City, uh, they still were right there in a nip and tuck battle with Utah, the host team, on, in the second game.
And then they fought as, as much as they could, and both teams were short-handed playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
His maturity is right there, and this is a guy who, his two games, two games that he played in Salt Lake City, you know, he's averaging 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and shooting 65% from the field, and even better from three-point range.
So what does that tell you? It's a small sample size, but it's something that he transferred from college to the Summer League.
And we'll continue to see if he takes those steps, uh, here in Vegas, where it's gonna only intensify from here.
