Welcome back to the channel — Formula Park 1 brings you daily amateur athlete highlights and college football news. In this episode we recap yesterday’s top scores, from shocking upsets to statement…
And today we're going to talk about the top football scores don't happen on yesterday.
In ball, we had some major upsets and some statement wins.
Now let's talk about the matchups.
And Texas came off with a surprising victory, 24-23, a solid performance behind Arch Manning, who went 23 for 37 for 195 yards, one touchdown, one interception, had a passing rating of 110, plus he was a dual threat.
He had eight carries for 24 rushing yards and three yards per attempt.
I disagree with that statement, but let's see if he keeps up these strong performances in the upcoming weeks.
And Georgia opened up a can on Western Kentucky, winning 70-20 behind Gunnar Stockton, who went 13-16 for 234 yards and five touchdowns, and its longest pass from scrimmage was 70 yards.
And Notre Dame pitched a shutout, winning 52 to nothing behind C.J. Carr, Heisman hopeful, who went 16 for 20 for 253 yards, four touchdowns, and his longest pass from scrimmage was 56 yards.
And boy, I'm getting tired of these cupcake games.
But Indiana won 55 to nothing behind Josh Hoover, who went 6 for 11 for 145 yards and four touchdowns.
Congratulations to them.
The next matchup was one of the upset matchups of the day.
And Oklahoma State won 39-31 behind Drew Massmaker, who went 26-43 for 317 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and his longest pass from scrimmage was 52 yards.
Congratulations to them.
