Boston Film Festival with Actor Ed Burns & Dr. Drew

Great to

see you as

well.

Thank you for

having me.

Is this your first time

to be at the Boston Film Festival? No, I think it's actually my third.

You're a veteran.

I know I was there, I believe in 2011 or 2010 with another small movie called Nice Guy Johnny.

And my producer was just quickly going through to see.

Anyhow, I think it may be the third time.

If not, definitely the second.

Yeah.

Well, it's going to be great to have you back.

Well, I mean, I love it.

I mean, you know, when I made my first film, Brothers McMullen, given the subject matter of that film, and even to this day, a lot of people who meet me assume I'm from Boston because it's a story of three Irish brothers as opposed to being from New York and Long Island.

Um, but you know, Boston has always been a, a, a great, uh, city, uh, you know, from my stories and my films and always very receptive.

So, um, it's always great to come back here and screen a new movie.

Super.

I'm so glad to hear that.

And we're going to, we're going to talk a little bit more about the film festival here in just a second.

But before we do, as I was introducing you, um, you're an author and I want to talk about, you got a new book coming out.

Um, uh, obviously an actor as well.

Tell me just a little bit about Ed Burns and, you know, where it all started and which portion of all of this is your favorite?

You know, I went to school thinking I would be a novelist.
