Another Fine Mess 24 - Diesel, Lies & More Fresh Hell

This is a very sad Memorial Day for folks in Israel.

This is October 7th as we record this.

which is the third anniversary of the Hamas attacks that killed 1,200 Israelis.

Hamas fighters left Gaza in secret, attacked, gosh, six or seven, surrounding little towns and villages and military outposts.

They attacked a music festival that was going on.

The Novo Music Festival killed 350 kids there.

And it was mainly kids, obviously.

It's one of the more ominous pictures from that.

They actually came in on paragliders.

uh to the music festival and landed and started shooting um if you can see kids at one of the concession tents you know getting you know whatever a drink getting a beer and you see in the distance on the horizon these paragliders coming in it's Why that didn't win the Pulitzer, I don't know.

But it's a very sad time.

Of course, that led to what many have considered disproportionate, the death of 75,000 Palestinians

in Gaza.

We should mention 250 hostages on top of the 12.

You're right.

Thank you for mentioning that.

I had forgotten.

So an awful time.

Netanyahu may well pay a price for some of that because it is alleged he ignored warning signs that something was brewing, something was going on with Hamas, other than the usual occasional rocket that shot out of Gaza.

So we shall see.

Their elections are coming up in the fall here as well.

So, anyway, very sad experience.

I've been to Gaza.

Weird experience.

I talked to the military commander of Gaza at the time.
