Um, but as this was happening, the Shia based in Iran also saw an opportunity here to advance its own interests, and thus began the Iranian march to a bomb and to its rhetoric, its eliminationist rhetoric toward Israel, leading them, as they had been in the previous 20 years, to start empowering groups outside its borders in Gaza, in Lebanon and elsewhere to serve as proxy armies against Israel.

That's Hezbollah and, and Hamas in particular.

And yesterday, September 10th, 2026, Israel took its most thoroughgoing step to eliminate the threat from Shia Islam in the form of Hezbollah in the north, uh, on its northern border with a massive, massive strike, a three-mile, uh, you know, full mountain basically blown to smithereens on whatever base was there.

So we have real world action in the 24-hour period surrounding the commemoration of 9/11 that itself is a, uh, tells the story of what 9/11 changed, uh, and how we were-- we had suddenly found ourselves in a two-front war against Islam.

I think what they didn't understand and what really was a problem, and 'cause it captured both parties, but it really captured the Democrats, was this idea that we could, we could make Iran our friend because we would have this common enemy in the Sunni extremists.

And we didn't understand that these were really two, these, these were, these were the sides of the same coin.

That it was-- And that the fact that Hamas, which is a Muslim Brotherhood and a Sunni organization, had for so many years been sponsored and, and supported by Iran should have told us everything.

Um, but we, we kinda didn't wanna see that.

Chavalier, uh, who, uh, as you know, just won, uh, was the leader of the anti-Israel protest at Columbia University after the 2023 Hamas massacre.

And another Democratic Congressional nominee facing growing backlash over his ties to a convicted terrorist he once defended.

In a statement, Anna Kelly, a White House spokeswoman, said Mr. Witkoff has fully divested from World Liberty Financial and his prior commercial activities are completely unrelated to his efforts to end global conflicts on the president's behalf.

But ethics groups have flagged the Trump and Witkoff families' entanglements with World Liberty as potentially problematic.

It really defies the norms, said Christopher Swartz, a former senior official at the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, who now works for Democracy Defenders Fund, a watchdog group.

He added that people like Mr. Witkoff who work in senior White House roles really need to be above reproach.

The official said that Saudi Arabia views the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia as an attempt to draw Saudi Arabia more deeply and directly into the conflict, which the kingdom would prefer to avoid.

And sticking with Yemen, U.S. airstrikes targeting Houthis killed scores of civilians in Yemen.

A new report found that most of the deaths occurred during President Trump's second term as his administration pursued Iran-backed groups by John Ismay.

U.S. airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi militants from late twenty twenty-three to mid twenty twenty-five killed two hundred thirteen civilians, according to a report released on Thursday by the Costs of War Project at Brown University.

This was in Haaretz on Tuesday.

The piece basically says that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed personally talked to Benjamin Netanyahu in late September of 2023, warning him about the possibility of a major forthcoming Hamas attack.

The background to this is that the Israelis and Hamas were engaged in, you know, back-channel kind of indirect negotiations over potentially lifting the Gaza blockade.

Those negotiations had stalled, and Yahya Sinwar, who was the leader of Hamas at the time, passed messages to an unnamed official in the Fatah party of the Palestinian Authority saying, asking him to convey a warning to the Israeli government that if things didn't start moving soon, he was gonna move ahead with a plan for a significant attack.

That official did warn people in the Israeli government, also passed a message on to another sort of Fatah affiliated or orbiting figure, who is an advisor to MBZ in Abu Dhabi, who then passed it on to MBZ, who called Netanyahu to try and reinforce the seriousness of the threat.

The Haaretz piece contends that Netanyahu basically blew him off.

He said, yes, we're aware that Hamas is planning an attack in the West Bank, but were ready for that.

Well, clearly the attack did not come in the West Bank and they were not ready for it.

So that, you know, when 9-11 happened, the country pulled together.

When October 7th happened, by the end of that, by two or three days later, you had pro-Hamas unrest on campuses throughout the United States.

And people looked at that like they were shocked.

U.S. airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi militants from late 2023 to mid-2025 killed 213 civilians, according to a report released on Thursday by the Costs of War Project at Brown University.

They were asked questions if they had ever been approached by or hired by any non-United States intelligence community.

While there is still some debate among American intelligence officials, many investigators believe some of the men were part of an Israeli operation aimed at monitoring radical Islamic charities that support groups like Hamas, something lawyers for the five men and the Israeli government strongly deny.

So, by the way, they found out that their van, the moving van, they were supposedly movers.

The company turned out to be a shell company.

They believe if this was an intelligence operation by Israel, that it was focused on the Islamic groups and charities that raise money for groups that are considered by U.S. law enforcement and others terrorist groups.

And you'll note that after September 11th, the U.S. moved on many of these groups with indictments, arrests, raids on their headquarters, something that hadn't happened prior to this.

These are groups that Israel believes have been funding Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

Groups that are responsible for most of the suicide bombings there.

Most have been on a smaller scale.

But the last major one, of course, was October 7th of 2023, when Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis, including babies, children, the elderly.

They burned homes and they took hostages and they filmed all of their evil deeds and laughed about it and cheered over it.

And this columnist is correct when he says Hamas didn't raid Israeli communities over a zoning dispute.

It attacked because its ideology cannot tolerate a free neighboring society that it can't defeat except by terror.

And so this anniversary is a good moment to expose the people who are trying to blame the victims and explain away the 9-11 massacre.
