We talked about the East-West pipeline possibly being hit.

Diesel has hit six dollars per gallon.

As it was, what, it was, like, two or three days ago when we took out the all-time high of five eighty-one a gallon, and now we're over six.

Um, diesel prices are going up in a straight line.

And for all of my guys who are out there saying that the inflation should have been higher, also keep in mind when the inflation data is collected, most of the inflation data is collected around the middle of the month.

So the data that just got reported this morning that shows energy inflation, and it did show a lot of inflation in, in the diesel category, that was basically a snapshot around the middle of August, right? We're now in the middle of September.

Diesel prices have moved up sharply higher since the middle of August, which means we're looking at at least one more elevated energy price CPI coming, because a, a, a lot of the recent move in energy was not captured in this CPI just because of the calendar and when they actually take these measurements.

Now we've got Scott Bessent is saying a large bank is about to be sanctioned on Monday.

And this seasonally is normally a time when demand for all of these products for energy picks up.

and we've been spending the last eight months using our reserves our stocks people talk about buffers and that's why up until now you haven't had this huge spike in energy prices what we saw in the 1970s for example during the oil shock but those reserves those buffers have now kind of been drained and it's a very worrying time for markets and that's why you're seeing Diesel at $6 a gallon in the United States.

The cost of refining crude oil and turning it into diesel, that's now above $100, what they call the crack spread.

And reserves of things like gas in Europe are at worrying levels heading into the winter.

Plus, all hell is breaking loose in the Middle East.

Diesel hit $6 a gallon here in the U.S., And there is information coming out as I speak that the Houthis have bombed the east-west pipeline in Saudi Arabia, which is only going to make gas even more expensive.

The chart of the day is, And I'm sure you guys have already heard or even seen at the pump, but diesel hits record high prices.

In California, in some places, they have full-on maxed out the limit to which the fuel prices can go.

Diesel is $9.99 because that's as high as the green numbers on the sign next to the highway can go.

And this is essentially boiled down to a refinery problem because the price of gasoline is incredibly disconnected right now.

Even though the price of crude has shot up, diesel has took that and ran with it exponentially.

This would be $180.20. Now think about what that's going to do to farmers harvesting, baling hay, housing tobacco, etc.

Diesel tractors, combines, and how much of that is going to increase food prices as well as other goods? This is another reason local matters.

You don't have to travel as far to get the goods or get the goods delivered.

Saving farmland is national security.

And Labor Day this week, record high for gasoline prices.

Diesel is now at over $100 a barrel, or

oil is over $100.

Brent crude is over $100 a barrel, and diesel has reached $6.
