Introducing Wolves Collective: Media Day Takeaways, LaMelo Ball’s Energy + Season Preview

All right, you guys are both at Media Day.

The season's here.

I'm sure it felt like it was never going to get here.

That's kind of how these things operate.

But everybody's Media Day vibes are high.

But this one seemed particularly high in Wolves history.

You've covered the team for 50 years, Johnny.

Where does this one rank? Or what have you noticed about the vibes?

Yeah, I mean, I was talking with our good friend Britt Robson at Media Day about it, and there was not a lot of real meat on the bone in terms of breaking news or anything like that that came out of it.

Because we had seen all summer long, LaMelo happened early in the summer, Kaminga happened more than a month before we get going here.

But the overwhelming and overarching kind of feeling was that these guys really are enjoying being around each other.

And I think last year, this group wanted to have that connection and talked about, hey, we all know each other, continuity.

This is all going to work out well.

A lot of us have contracts.

But then when you got into training camp in the season, that just never really manifested itself.

They got along well.

I think that that was fine.

But it never really kind of clicked together.

And so to hear like one by one, every guy come up and talk about the vibes are great.

The group chat is great.

Like LaMelo is really like kind of a good dude and we're really enjoying him.

I just felt that was palpable.

And I felt like the energy was different from the group that we saw most of last season.

I'm focused on the ant and the mellow piece of it from the vibes element.

And, you know, and we're going to talk about your cat story later, John, but ant has been partnered up with the second best player as somebody who was a lot older than him, that different and different.
