Mike Trudell

That dude actually is pretty good."

I am, you know, I, I, I think- The numbers, like I've seen, yeah, I, I, we had Mike Trudell on, um, last week, and he and I are a part of one of the most ridiculously competitive fantasy basketball leagues you're gonna find.

You see a lot of the projections for Kessler and somebody like him, you know, 12 points a game, you know, 10 or 11 rebounds.

And so they're sort of kind of in line with his career stats and stuff like that.

You got a new head coach.

Speaking of which, the former head coach, the interim head coach, he's on the other bench with Mike Babcock in this game.

DJ Smith, for those who didn't know, DJ Smith is an assistant with Mike Babcock on these Oilers.

It was cool to see him in the building.

But your new head coach, Peter Laviolette, has taken three teams to the Stanley Cup final.

But yes, I saw Kings fans that were so disgusted and so upset at 3-0, they actually left the building.

I'm still here.

I'm looking at Mike Babcock downstairs.

I mean, that was the, the deal of that series.

Uh, the original host of this podcast, Mike Trudell, didn't believe it.

[laughs]

But they had, they had nobody for Rudy.

Zoom zoom in.

Before I get to my fast track, I wanna remind everyone, if you weren't listening yesterday, Mike Trudell is going to attempt to redeem himself.

He sent me a game of Games for today.

[laughs] Oh, that's right.

So I didn't make a game of Games.

I'm going to be reading Mike Trudell's game.

So if you have any issue with it-

Dave-

We will know the Dodgers opponent.

Will it be Phillies? Will it be Braves? In the meantime, we've got DeMarco, Travis, and Mike Trudell for your afternoon.

See you tomorrow.

And Lady Death, 710 ESPN.

Makes a lot of sense because there is a huge need for it, and J.J. knows what he's capable of.

And you said this a bunch, Mike, about – Guys like Luka and AR and their ability to elevate players, especially Luka Doncic.

We saw it in Dallas, right, and how guys' games can raise because of what he brings to the table and how much attention he draws and how he can make life easy for you.

Quinton Grimes could be one of those guys to benefit greatly from Luka Doncic.

At least that's the hope.

And he talked about how much work he has put into that, coming into this league and being a guy that no one thought could shoot, and then getting it to a good percentage, but obviously it's not a huge volume, and then being hurt for the last couple of years.

I loved him, Mike, when he walked up.

I looked at him, I'm like, neighbor.

Yes, uh, and, and they are.

New, new public address announcer, uh, sideline reporter, Reggie Theus' daughter, I believe is going to be doing a lot of the work with Mike Trudell on the sidelines.

And then of course, Danny Green will be on the road, uh, for the road games for the Lakers announcing this year.

Uh, JJ and Rob are dreaming about a championship this year.
