Is Steph going to be able to withstand what he needs to for this team to be successful? Sam, I think bailout answer, I think we won't know until the first back-to-back.

they make the second round of playoffs uh When you just put this all together, Steph is Steph.

The real question is, what support does Steph have? Jimmy Butler's out indefinitely.

In many ways, this comes down to Draymond.

And it makes me think like a guy like Jimmy Butler, wherever he went, the team got better.

Can you say that about Sabonis? I don't know.

And that's a good way I think I want to look at players that are floated around in the rumor mill.

of, a lot of good looking news on, on Mike Hill Williams, possibly getting back on the practice field this week, getting closer and closer.

to rejoining this team and look I you know I did a show this this last week talking about how I don't want to sound like Bob Fitzgerald who when Jimmy Butler is able to play again he's going to be like it's like the Warriors signed a free agent in the middle of the season yeah it is but they also missed that free agent through the first 40 games of the year too so let's not quite do that but the Niners are actually going to get better here as the year goes along and I know that we got some wide receiver injuries to talk about and whatnot but um I like the way that this defense has come together before it's even really come together.

And that, I think, is an awful lot of Raheem Morris.

It's an awful lot of veteran leadership.

Joel Embiid, Christian Braun, Patrick Williams.

Zach Levine, Jimmy Butler, Zion Williamson.

If you're a brand new team joining the NBA, these players are not overpaid.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

You can not only put your forefront and your foot in the door here, but you can submit your foot and your legacy with this franchise forever.

These guys could be paid for years on end taking a role like Udazlis has them if you believe they're on their last legs in the league.

And if that's not the trajectory of their career, then gosh darn, they still got juice left in their legs like Ja Morant, like Paul George does a little bit, like Zion Williamson and Jimmy Butler.

These guys have always wanted to make max money for not only their skill set, but for their marketability.

Like maybe they could still slip to that four or five range.

I think I said, but if we're talking about the playoffs, like I, I still hold true on, on what I said, where the Raptors could really be like that kind of the, the Jimmy Butler heat, you know what I mean? Like those teams that weren't the greatest regular season, obviously maybe a little bit better than that.

You know, it'd be nice if the Raptors could be a little higher because I think the heat we're, we're usually trending around the play in, uh, you know they don't want to be there unless kawaii is like completely unavailable but i think the raptors have like a really high ceiling and all these expectations are really justified and we'll get into some of the guys that are helping that that kind of expectation just just continuing to race so that's scotty obviously colin murray boils jacoby the rest of the dudes

100 percent And I do think this team is built for the playoffs.

So I think that's a spot-on comparison.

Yeah, no, for sure.

And obviously you make the comparisons between Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler being playoff risers and really setting the course to be the catalyst to their team's success.

But again, I think just talent-wise, I think the Raptors, like Scottie Barnes and Colin Murray-Boyles, I think are just really elite talents as supporting cast.
