... what was your reaction to this game, 39-nothing?

I thought it was a nice victory.

Um, you know, I thought there was improvement all the way around.

Um, you know, I thought that, uh, you know, Maiava had a really good game, you know, in, in terms of, you know, his proficiency, his productivity and if you really are, you know, gonna try to win the Heisman trophy, I didn't think this hurt his chances [laughs] at all because it's really about consistency.

And we all know that the Heisman Trophy, uh, if, if he plays well, will be decided against the ranked teams that they play.

You know, SC has traditionally had a Heisman Trophy performance against Notre Dame that kinda sealed the, the deal for, uh, winning the Heisman, but we don't have Notre Dame, obviously.

But there's a number of other schools that are well thought of in the area, and voters in the area in the Midwest, that Maiava can make a thing.

I, I, I don't quite understand the negativity, though, uh, towards the running backs.

Uh, you know, I, I think the running backs are doing okay.

I, you know, I, you know, they haven't exploded for a long one.

You know what? Uh, that happens, uh, you know, on occasion.

Yeah, if you have a super superstar running back that can, you know, that has the speed to get outside.

Not everyone has a Reggie Bush, you know, acceleration.

But I, I liked what the running backs did.

You know, the offensive line is still kind of meshing together.

Um, you know, should it be better? You know, I hope it will get better.
