All right, we go to the fine state of Texas, where two residents are suing Popeyes and its parent company after they allegedly found an object in a piece of fried chicken.
Now, the lawsuit alleges seven counts of negligence in violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act.
It was filed back in August, and two plaintiffs, they're asking for one point five million dollars in damages.
They claim that one of them bit into a piece of chicken and found what the, uh, found an object embedded within the chicken itself.
Well, that guy became physically ill, nauseated, after realizing he'd already ingested the contaminated food before discovering the object.
So they went back to the restaurant, where management tried to replace the contaminated chicken.
The couple, they feared they were exposed to all kinds of infections or bacterias or viruses or blood-borne pathogens, et cetera, et cetera, and as they say, or other hazardous substances.
Now, the psychological impact of the polluted poultry didn't stay at the restaurant.
They say they continue to feel the real physical, mental, and emotional pain and damages that were unjustly thrust upon them.
The question is, what do they think they found in their chicken? Keep in mind, embedded inside of the chicken.
[laughs] Uh, [laughs] uh, Ted, what do you think? So they, they, it was in the chicken.
The guy had taken a bite, discovered it, and was very, very upset because he'd already eaten some of the food before discovering this thing in it.
