Houston Texans

Yeah.

The other one in my heart is the Texans, and I'm trying not to fall into the trap, and this is why it was fourth, of- Well, I picked them to win the Super Bowl, so it's like I think they're gonna be great.

So th- it makes sense to pick them this week.

I've tried not to fall in that trap, but I think they just should be favored.

When, when the, when the line is under two, does it really matter if you're favored by one and a half or you're an underdog by one and a half? Probably not.

Game's not gonna come down to one.

But it just bothered me that they're underdogs because if you played this team, this game last year in Houston, I'm taking the Texans.

Like, in the playoffs even.

You know, they spent more of their, their, uh, their high rep, high volume rep stuff in the joint practices with Jacksonville and Houston.

And when the Houston Texans came to Charlotte for week three of the preseason, Carolina's fourth preseason game, the ones went against the ones in that joint practice, and Freeling got worked.

Now, the Texans' front four, front seven, arguably really, really good and maybe amongst the best in the league.

So that was kind of a baptism by fire.

But there's so much intrigue here.

But I'll tell you what, if Woolen plays, if Woolen is good, if he's who they think he is, Mike, they might wind up over the Texans.

Texans have the best defense.

They're elite.

It wouldn't shock me if they wound up being better than the Texans.

It would be hard to do because you can't find a weakness with that team.

But let me tell you something.

I'm going to hedge a little bit.

All right, Bills at Texans.

Texans are a favorite against potentially the second Super Bowl favorites in the Bills.

Yeah, let's go.

I'm going to go Houston here, guys.

I think they have Josh Allen's number.

So just sometimes it's the matchups, the way it works.

And they do look at the stats.

When I still think about Deshaun Watson, he's played in more games for the Browns than I would have ever told you.

Meaning, to me, I go back to the Texans, and I don't really have a lot of recollection of him playing on the Browns.

He started

19 games for them in three years.

automatically behind the eight ball.

And Buffalo Bills at the Houston Texans, the Bills' one-and-a-half-point favorites.

Who do you want to start off this time?

Made a lot of moves this offseason.

Of course, Buffalo at Houston.

Houston has been one of the better teams when they're playing against Josh Allen.

So I have to see how that one plays out for sure.

And so, I mean, those are two games for me that I have circled on my calendar.

I haven't gone through all the games, but I doubt there will be a game much better than this.

The Bills and the Texans.

Hell of a week one game.
