Well Enough Alone

Uh, couple episodes ago, I believe we said that, uh, was it 505 Games acquired the rights to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers IP, and they were like, "We're gonna do something with this." And they've already announced, "Hey, we're gonna go ahead and make a sequel." Now, it's obviously not using the original team that made the first game, but it is using the original director, a guy named Jia Xuan.

Chinese.

This blew me away.

This was, this was some rare good news on the gaming news scape.

Because when I heard that 505 obtained the rights, I thought, "Okay, they're probably just gonna make some shitty gotcha game or an MMO that'll go nowhere."

Yeah.

To hear that there's a actual bonafide sequel and that at least the guy who headed up the first one is, is still...

I'm assuming he's gonna be, uh, head of this, this sequel, is...

That was great news.

I mean, I, I...

Wuchang is a lot of fun.

It's not the best Souls-like, but it's one of the best, I think.

It's, it was-

Did you beat it after all?

I, I did.

I did.

I never got all of the endings, um, because it just...

It's, it's a pretty long game, um, even for-

It is also a pain in the ass to get those endings.

It, it's that bullshit of, "Oh, you didn't talk to this NPC and didn't help him with his side quest.

We didn't tell you you had to do that, but fuck you, player."

Oh, yeah.

It, it exhibits some of the best and worst traits of the Souls genre-

[laughs]
