But I do think that online element was so crucial because you were playing against your friends.

Something like Halo comes along, and suddenly there's this wide community that you're playing against, and it just meant that everyone wanted to get involved.

Well, you bring up Halo, and Halo's a great example.

Halo started as what we call lab parties, local-

But rewinding, so years ago Halo came out, the video game Halo.

And then we have Cortana, which is this, this sentient AI-

... um, which is essentially an extraterrestrial.

But so where's Cort- Cortana? Is she on, on the Halo base or are they finding her?

No, she is, she is an AI-

There was Tony Hawk.

There was Halo.

I had to play Halo.

Guess who won fucking Halo? This guy.

This guy.

I almost called you.

I almost called you because I was nervous because I wanted to win so badly because if I lost Halo, I was going to lose the entire thing.

Why Halo? Because in the order of events, we kept going back and forth.

I ate it up.

But I eventually transitioned from the Wii to the Xbox because my dad got me into Halo and into a bunch of other like those types of shooter games.

So I was a big Halo kid for a while on the Xbox.

And then I started playing other games like Castle Crashers and Skylanders became a fix as well.

So I was a big gamer growing up as well.

And it meant that I couldn't actually run any of the games I really wanted to.

So I went through all of this, this kind of pain until one day I saw Halo [laughs]

Mm.

At a friend's.

And then I was like, "Oh, I'm gonna have to get a console now, aren't I?" And, uh, yeah, no, I bought the, I bought the, an Xbox so that I could play Halo.

Um, and then literally I, I went through, you know, all of, all of those, um, in, in kind of that way.

Um, if I remember rightly, um, somewhere in between I did buy, um, a Mega Drive, so UK version of Genesis, yeah?

And me and this guy, we've go years long back playing video games.

I mean, Halo and all that stuff.

And so it was kind of a cool full circle moment that here's our next generations playing each other.

you know on our accounts and stuff like that and it's like oh yeah they both love minecraft now we're just setting up where they they get to play at least once a week so um pretty cool uh moment or win for sure full circle and then that little bit of like slight concern of like okay you you know how to use technology way too good at this age and that frightens me

And I'll bring up like a video game right here.

And like Halo, if you don't know Halo... yeah yeah so the guys are like they give that equipment to you are already kind of like navy seals they're not giving it to the average person so i think right you have this ip this knowledge subject matter and you're using it you're just going to distance yourself from everybody else and i think that's where you're going to see that's when you're going to start going oh you know how do i catch up that's when you'll start seeing some things happen but i think today that's what if you have good people and you put the ai on they're going to be they're going to 10x their output

Do you think that the blockchain and fractionalization, tokenization, any of that's going to pop at any point? I remember right before COVID, that was kind of the buzzword in syndications and funds and real estate.
